Just wondering how many Melbourne based members are going to the game on Saturday. It will be interesting to see the number of crows supporters on the plane on Saturday.

I am flying to Adelaide on the 8:45am flight on Saturday. Coming back on the 8pm flight.

If the Adelaide Crows do the right thing on Saturday and we gain a place in the Grand Final, does anyone know if Virgin or Qantas are likely to put any extra fights on next week?

If I can get a flight from Adelaide to Melbourne than that’s a bonus but otherwise I guess it’s on the bus Friday night with the other travelling Crows fans.

Anyone know of any precedence set in the past for events like this?

I can find out if there are extra flights or if Virgin Blue will just use larger aircraft, give me a day or two and I will get back to you:thumbsu:

Cheers Marty

I knew you were the one to ask. :thumbsu:

Good thinking C98. As far as I know, you can get back on sunday for $229, but getting there on Friday is about the same on Virgin. There aren't too many cheap flights (aka none) left, but we'll see what Marty has to say, and maybe they might throw a few on.

A logical business decision would imply that both Qantas and Virgin would, but on if there is the demand for the service.

A return flight to Melbourne I would be willing to pay up to $300 return, anything above that I would be catching the bus.

Yeah, likewise, if I cna't get for about $300, I would end up driving over. I would take the bus, but we don't mix very well together, so if I could get a spot on the train I would go for it, and thus I would assume they would add a few extra carriages on, as I believe it is currently booked out.

Can we stick with the topic. This is for Melbourne based members going to Adelaide this weekend. Not about the possibility of Grand Final week.

I've just booked via Virgin to come over tomorrow and back on tuesday. Their website is playing up:rolleyes: and I ended up booking over the phone and by the time I had that sorted the return flight (this was 40 minutes from my initial web enquiry) it was $40 more:eek: . Also noticed a lot of flights out of Adelaide to melbourne are starting to sell out already. Some people must be very confident.
Also if you are going to Adelaide this weekend from Melbourne and need to book a car good luck! Budget is already out most days and Hertz have bugger all left too choose from.
I don't know if because of the football or the school holidays though. Either way it's a pain.

I'm flying over on Saturday morning at like 7:00 or 7:30 or something like that.
Flying back at 7:00 that night.
