Basically all you do here is post injury statuses, whats happening around the club and anything you can think of!!

The Dees have had an injury free pre season so far and have been training very well.

The standouts so far have been Cameron Bruce, Daniel Bell, Daniel Wells, Joel Corey and Nathan G Brown.

Coach Gary Lyon has assessed each of the Melbourne players below.

SENIOR LIST

Steven Armstrong - Talented youngster on the improve, will have to fight hard for a permanent midfield spot.

Daniel Bell - Burning up the track, expect to see him in Wizard Cup.

Clint Bizzell - The General will have new found freedom this season due to the additions of Justin Leppitsch and Ben Holland. Should dominate against smaller opponents.

Nathan D Brown - Important season for Browny, if he can't keep spot in 22, he will be at a new club in 2005.

Nathan G Brown - A vital cog to how the side will fare, if he can play consistant footy in the forward line, Melbourne will dominate.

Cameron Bruce - The barometer to the side. Is asked to do different jobs each week. Expect him to be an onballer week in week out.

Nathan Carroll - Make or break year. Is fighting with Nicholson and Holland for the fullback position.

Joel Corey - Should prove to be an excellent addition. High posession winning centreman who is very versatile.

Kane Cornes - Will inject some much needed aggression into Melbourne's backhalf. Only knows one style of play, and that is tough.

Matthew Davis - Don't expect too much from the youngster straight away, but does look the goods. Has been labelled the next Jason Saddington.

Ryan Ferguson - Promising CHB/CHF. Will be struggling to get a game in either of those positions though.

Adam Fisher - Should build on a pleasing 03, a good prospect.

Robert Forster-Knight - Will add depth into defensive stocks. A change of scenery might do the trick.

Simon Godfrey - An important contributer to Melbourne's onball division. If he can improve his foot skills to the standard of his work ethic, he will become a top notch midfielder. A player to watch in 04.

Brad Green - Should further develop his game, as one of the best small forwards in the buisiness.

Shane Harvey - Is ready to take the next step in his career. Will add depth to our forward and midfield stocks.

Chris Heffernan - An important year for Chris. A quality player, but if he doesn't deliver he may well find himself elsewhere in 05.

Ben Holland - Will be looking to prove that he can recapture his form of 2001. A handy player at both ends of ground.

Ben Hudson - Mature age recruit. Will add depth to the ruck stocks.

Mark Jamar - Will be further developing his game at Sandy and when required at AFL. Looks a good prospect.

Darren Jolly - Expected to become one of the elite ruckmen in the AFL this season.

Justin Leppitsch - The Aull-Australian CHB will be looking to make Melbourne a force to be reckoned with.

Brad Miller - Looks a likely type. Should become a very good KPP in years to come. Will get plenty of opportunities.

David Neitz - The skipper should have another 60 plus goalkicking season. Vital to our chances of success.

Alistair Nicholson - Big FB who will be looking to recapture the form he had in early 2002 before going down with knee injury.

Brad Ottens - A lot is expected of the big man. Will be invaluable in the forward/ruck departments.

Byron Pickett - Should prove to be a great pick up. Adding much needed speed, power and agression.

Michael Ritschitchelli - Needs to bulk up before hes ready to play AFL. Looks a good prospect though.

Jared Rivers - Will be given the chance to add to his 3 match tally. Promisng defender.

Russell Robertson - Robbo is an invaluable contributor for the club on and off the field. Has improved consistancy, but I want to see him taking more screamers.

Jay Schultz - Will be a very good player for us in years to come. Will develop at Sandy in 04.

Trent Sporn - Another of the clubs quality young defenders.

David Spriggs - A tough little onballer. Has a lot of heart and speed. Will be in contention for a spot in the midfield.

Callum Urch - An aggresive young defender. Could surprise, expect to see in Wizard Cup.

Daniel Wells - A truly "magic" footballer. Has all the talent in the world and a defensive side to his game that rivals with the best in the league. A player to watch explode in 04.

Matthew Whelan - A tough uncompronising small defender/midfielder. Should take his game to a new level this year.

Jarrad Waite - A lot is to like about this versatile youngster. Will be a first team regular.

Adem Yze - The Ooze will be looking to keep injury free this year in order to get back to his brilliant best.

ROOKIE LIST

Amon Buchanon - Should be a valuable contributor to Sandy's forward line.

Cameron Hunter - Will be looking to be promoted back onto the senior list. A good prospect.

Brett Jones - Looks a likely type, will be given the opportunity to get promoted.

Stephen Kenna - This little fella could find himself a senior listed player early on if injuries occur.

Joel Perry - Is expected to push for promotion. Skillfull youngster.

Adrian Wilson - Will be looking for a consiatnt season at Sandringham to prove himself worthy of a senior spot.

PREDICTED FINISH - 1st to 8th
