Melbourne fm

I think Melbourne fm is going to be the name of the new Melbourne radio station, which should be on air in December/January. Not another Fox fm I hope.

Same here, but I was at a website with radio news a few minutes ago, that was saying that they had announced the first on air person at the all new Melbourne fm.

I heard a few names for it.... But thought the main one was decided as Nova Fm likes its sister station in Sydney.

Well I'd be happy if it was like a Triple M that plays a bit heavier stuff but that won't happen

If the ABA would get their act together, we will soon have five new stations. I think their will be three Melbourne wide stations, on 89.9, 90.7 and 1503 am. The Inner city station will be on 94.9 fm , plus Melbourne fm, which will be heard all over the state on 100.3 fm. It was going to be on 91.5, but that has changed.

In 2004, their will be another commercial station come on air as well, but as that is ages away, their has been no discussion on that issue.
