Hello guys i have been on the topic for nearly 2 years now.
And have been close to getting a membership but haven't got one.
The main thing i worry about is.
Is it worth it ??
The seating value is all i worry about where will i be seating ?
I usually go down to Ticketmaster and get Level 1 tickets each week and sometimes row A.
I thought it would be the best to ask you guys first.
Because your the experts
I am a 16 year old so i would be looking at a student Membership so concession
i don't want a Reserved seat which is about 300 how you seat in that seat every week.
I just want a simple 11 game membership seating in level 1 pretty much every week not up the top
which membership should i get and how much will i be paying ?

You want a level one seat every week by the reserved seat one.

If you just want to get in and dont care where you sit then just get the normal season ticket, if its a fully ticketed match you have to pay extra for a reserved seat but its a discounted rate so its not really a bother.

I am happy with my 18 game season ticket as i enjoy sitting out with the "Indians" but if you like to be level 1 every week without a shadow of doubt then pay the extra

Getting a 11 game membership means appart from the Essendon and Carlton games you can walk up and sit where you wanna each week.

Anywhere you want unless its a designated reserve seat area.

Usually all of the bottom level of the olympic stand is GA seats and good viewing, thats where i always sit

Buy a membership and help us get more members then the bloody hawks.

Hawthorn have 37,016 members so far this year compared to 31,363 for Collingwood! We have had the most members out of the Victorian clubs since 2003 and to be beaten by hawthorn who is about half the size of collingwoods supporter base is a disgrace!

Hawthorn must have a lot of cat and dog supporters because in 2008 Collingwood averaged 65,000 to the M.C.G to Hawthorn 52,000! If we had won the premiership we would average over 70,000 people to the MCG no doubt!

There is only one answer - YES, of course it's worth it!

How many other teams have fair weather supporters that question the "value" of a membership yet only buy one when the shit hits the fan and the club is in mortal danger. While we have a lot of supporters we can never be complacent and I think the club does a genuinely good job to make it both value for money and affordable with it's payment plans etc.

I live in Adelaide and I see maybe 2 games live a year but buy a Country Social Club membership because I want to contribute, I join the best social club in Australia and at $200 or there abouts it's not breaking tha bank. If I was still living in Melbourne I'd get the 18 game one.

It's every Collingwood barrackers responsibility to get a membership IF they can afford it.

Get behind the team, we just can't have those gloating Hawthorn pricks getting in front of us!

Definitely worth it, captains membership all the way, i doubt you will be able to afford it but. Captains membership is great, sit with all the pies members, great seats its all worth it.

Ive had a lot of people ask me this question over the years, and when it all comes down to it, it is about your own personal means and needs.

If you prefer to sit with only Collingwood supporters, want a lvl 1 seat for 11 home or all 18 Vic games, then a full legends or captain is for you, but they aint cheap.

If you dont mind rolling up or booking tickets every month then an 11 or 18 game season ticket is for you, and doesnt cost anywhere near as much.

I personally am an AFL Club Support Full Member and have been since 1984, but I wouldnt change mine for anything, gives me a season ticket, reserved seats that cost only a booking fee, free nab cup and final entry, and a guaranteed GF ticket if we make it, all for under 500 a year.

If you are asking a simple "is it worth it", I'd answer yes, and then tell you to contact the club and explain your situation and preferences to them, and they will explain the options further.

so where do we sit for essendon or carlton games???

If you get in early enough, you can still get bottom level seats, but for both of these games they will sell fairly quickly, best to get in the day they go on sale.

i looked at the AFL membership then. Looks very sexy :P lol
And the Junior ticket is under 17 so i qualify for that.
and is up to 40 games with the dome included with fantastic seats and also guest passes involved
and if Collingwood get into the finals i get tickets as well
so if i can get one it will probably be that one

If you buy a 11 game season membership for $125. That's general entry access to every home match. However you are not guaranteed a level 1 seat at every game. Perhaps if you get there early at the game you can get a level 1 seat at the MCG games against interstate sides (and maybe Bulldogs, St. Kilda, North Melbourne, and Melbourne) but for any game against a more popular side or a game at the Telstra Dome you'll have to book to get level 1.

When you book a reserved seat you give them your card (or online/phone give your membership number) and you get a discount, so it might be say $15 more or $25 at the most (for big games). Someone will have to correct me on the prices for members though, I may be way off (may be a fair bit cheaper). That's essentially what I do with a 18 game membership although I settle for a 3rd level seat against lesser clubs because if you get there early you'll pretty much get front row, but I have to book for dome and big games at the G and usually I get a 1st row when I book.

Level 3 seats aren't all that bad really.
