My membership pack (and ONE of my two kids, the second is well pleased...not  ) arrived in the mail today :thumbsu:

Must say. bloody impressive array of nick-nacks, the 2006 scarf and the 2006 members hats are absolute beauties.

The kids are/will be 100% impressed with the tattoo's, watch, stickers, back-pack, school stuff, key-rings, cap, etc etc etc.

Well done to the doggies, and if you ARENT a member you will stand out like a sore thumb :thumbsd: at the footy in 2006!

yeah i think mine might have came today aswell
but i had to stay back at work so i missed the person who might have dropped them off
and there was an australian post thing left in the mail so im guessing thats that them cause it says three and yeah thats how many we got haha
so mums going to see if it was them tomrow hope so
nearly 2006 not long now haha
the excitement begins in acouple of months

Very impressed with the scarf. The hat's good but I like the '05 version better - just a preference thing...a little more subtle.

Like everyone else, I thought "ooh, a DVD" , so the marketing people have been pretty clever with this year's packaging. What's most impressive this year is the 'pay-by-the-month' for official merchandise such as jumpers and club polos, and you can save through the club with your membership.

I dips me lid again to Mr Rose and the Marketing folks:thumbsu:

I have to agree on most of those points. The whole package was pretty impressive and the scarf design is better than any of the scarves i've seen them actually selling. I liked last years hat better too, but what are you gonna do?

Only disappoinments were the Social Club badge, which is fairly unimpressive, it looks like the free keyring pretty much. And the fact that the merch is made in china. This is a political point probably best left out of here, but hopefully the doggies merch isn't being made by exploited sweatshop labour....SORRY hate to bring politics into the change rooms:o

Got mine today, and was very pleased with the scarf and the hat. The membership pack continues to improve every year.

It's great value and with the pay-by-the-month initiative, there's no reason for Bulldogs supporters not to be members in 2006.

I can't wait for the season to start, how many days are there until we face the Dees in the NAB Cup?

and yes it was the memeberships that came from the post

Did it come with some software for paragraph formatting, punctuation and a spellchecker?

Haven't bothered to join up as yet until we work out if we can get the player sponsorship thing happening. Might go for the Top Dog Coterie package this year. Will be joined up one way or the other in early Jan but it is heartening to see the club is already getting the memberships out.

...or how to try and write a post that in someway resembles the sentence structure we're taught since grade one. Of course, that's assuming the original post was meant to be English...if not I stand corrected.

Club should give us the option of post or pick up. I could have picked it up from the club. Hope the Australia Post sponsorship covers the delivery of these packs because it must me pretty expensive.

Anyway, well done to the club, hope we can find some more "new" members.

Got my pack yesterday, its very impressive.

The only problem I have is that the key ring is a bit dull and boring.

For any one with special requests for their renewal, ie, with extra reserve seats or a new position, the club just told me these are dealt with on a '1st served' basis, and they are due to begin processing these on Jan 2nd.

got it yesterday but dont like the keyring. last years is still on my keys and will stay there, as this one doesn't really stand out as being a bulldogs thing.
scarf is good, anyone else think it's a bit long?
everything else great. bring on 2006

I find it more a funny way of giving advice.

If people have trouble with that sort of stuff they should open a program like MS Word type what they want in there, spell check, grammar check and then copy and paste into here.

I didnt even bother reading that post because it looked so silly.

Collected my stuff from the PO today. Wow! The scarf will be great for wrapping around in winter, besides which - the Geelong free scarf for members this last season was so short the members didn't use it. Guess you can't please everyone.;)

Haven't got my membership pack yet - always order mine after the Christmas shopping has been done.

Just a quick question - has anyone received the pet membership pack yet? Bought one for the first time, yet the online order from didn't ask what sort of pet I had - have no idea what I (sorry, the cat) will get for that.

My son got his membership pack three days before Christmas - bit of a bonus. As others have said, very impressive. My only beef with the club/marketing dept is that there was enough room in the box to include my cap/scarf/social club tag, yet I haven't received mine yet. Surely, if they have any sort of half decent database software, they can identify mutiple memberships at the same address, and save themselves the postage?? I know we're talking only a few dollars, but it all adds up. I have friends with 4 memberships in the family, and am trying to catch up with them to see if they were mailed 4 separate packages. If so, and this is replicated throughout our members, we could have an extra rookie with the money saved on several thousand membership mailouts.

Anyway, I also agree with DR's and Borgsta's comments about spelling, grammar, etc. I don't bother reading posts I can't understand either - it's not hard to make them a bit more legible....

It's a mark of respect to other posters to take a bit of care with presentation. The idea of composing in Word has real merit. It enables the poster to check to make sure the post says exactly what is intended.

Yes my brother and I both got our memberships as well. Just "long distance" ones as we live in Tassie. Most impressed with the scarf and cap. The whole presentation was very cool. Well done to the marketing people involved with the memberships.

ROLL ON ROUND 1.....

p.s the only thing i didn't like was the key ring. I agree with others that it is a little boring and doesn't really show to be a bulldogs item.

overall 9/10

yep good pack....cant wait til the season starts

havent got ours yet, but reading the above cant wait.

Got mine the other day and its great.
I have never ever received my membership package this early so the membership department must be working a lot of overtime.

Well done to the club for getting it out so early.
