Geelong 32,102 30,821 UP 1281

Melbourne 23,300 24,805 DOWN 1505
Kangaroos 22,854 24,154 DOWN 1300

We may not have reached the 26,000 - but didn't miss by much. Plus we had the most growth out of any Victorian team.

We should be looking to continue the climb up the membership ladder next year and go for 28,000+ members.

Is it not now closed?

The big issue is not that we didn't reach our target. But how we ensure the numbers remain stable over the next four to five years with some growth built in.

Cam Rose and his entire team should be congratulated. The club is heading in the right direction. Off the filed we probably have not a sense of confidence since 97 and 90 before that. On field we are performing well.

27500 member next year must be the target.

Membership costs are not that high. 4 bucks a week. 2 less pots in the pub. 3 of 4 less smokes per day.....lots more examples......lets get on board.

Go doggies.

With the list of good young players that you have at the moment there should be an air of excitement around the club, and that attracts the members.

with over 25,000 members with an increase of 3000 this year only validates the great work that Cambell Rose and his team has done off the field.

I personally forsee a bright future for the bulldogs and see no reason that after a couple of more successful years that they can not push their membeship up to 30,000, which coming from where you have come from is a great effort.

Long live the Victorian teams

I think I read that membership closes on June 15th.

According to our CEO as at 5 June.

"We have exactly 25 days left before the official figures tally closes and as you know I am, as I'm sure we all are, committed to getting 26,000 members in 2006."

Membership Tally as at 26th June, 2006 is 25,684 edging closer but still another 316 Memberships needed to hit that 26,000 mark.

Membership Total

Smorgan said that 2000 plus members from last year had not signed up. Assume some died, some left the country, some left the state, some can't afford it.......surely there is still 316 left out of that group who could still join and do their little bit.

It's a lot and quite surprising considering how successful they have been this year. But it is a terrific effort this year to get that close to the goal, an accomplishment that everyone involved with the Western Bulldogs, players admin and supporters should be proud of. :thumbsu:

These are not valid excuses to not renew as far as i am concerned.

SEN1116 just asked for a few more members: We changed from 71 short of 26,000 to 55.

The presenter Mark Doran says that if we are one short of the target he will buy the last membership.

I heard that we were 40 behind?

well done to every one involved with the club and all the supporters who dug deep and brought their memberships. Its a great feeling to know that the dogs are no longer the laughing stock of the AFL.

From here on we (as a club) can only get BIGGER, STRONGER, TOGETHER!!!!
