Rarely post on here anymore :( But fatherhood will do that :) Still a daily lurker though, and got inspired by some awesome realistic templates I'd seen lately (specifically Rubber Arm's mannequin man), and wanted to update my own template (as always, with the long-sleeve back). Just some random stuff to try the template out at the moment:

Bit different to the 'old days' now that A.I. is around, but a lot of this was still manual Photoshop tweaking (probably 15+hrs all up) with tracing, masking, warping, etc. to try make the guernsey, shorts, and socks over-layers look as realistic as possible with lighting, body shape, and fabric folds and creases. Boots are a little plain, that might be next thing to work on. Feedback welcome as always :)

PS... The kit template isn't meant to match Kookaburra or New Balance templates. This is my own 'M' brand template. Haha.

Wow looks much better than mine. Great job!

Here's my updated one I've been working on. The other one I've been using was a smaller file so it was a bit more pixelated than this one.

I'm still new to the whole warping and masking business. I'm struggling to get the designs and logos to work with the folds lol.

I really like your display of both short and long socks, and the long sleeve looks perfect!

When I do darker designs like this Mt Burr one, it looks a lot flatter. Do you have any tips for shadows? Also you can see how bad the warping job is on more intricate designs like this lol.

Looks awesome! How does your template work? All white guernsey, shorts, socks as background, and then coloured designs on top with 'Multiply'? I had the 'flatness' issue, but played around with it.

if so, try 'Linear Burn' and then play around with the opacity.

It's an all white kit with the coloured designs underneath it. The full white kit is the layer with multiply. I'm playing around with it right now, I'll try the reverse and linear burn. Cheers!

Made an update to the back of the guernsey by widening the back panel near the shoulders which was a template flaw I realised once doing the Brisbane kit. I updated the images in the post above too to show this change.

Had to try this one on the template... came out alright. Was good to see it get another run during Gather Round.

Edit *** Ahh crap, I forgot the AFL watermarks on guernsey. Will add them later.
