By October, when he actually has to make up his mind, he will have been linked to all 18 clubs.

At 900k a year it's a no from me, two 450k key position players would suit us more.

Would be a great fit, exceptional talent. Seeing that we sold the farm last year, acquiring players(talented players) that don't require draft picks as trade, only cold hard cash is the only way we are going to get talent in this year. Opportunity knocking on the door! As bad as this might sound, I love Swanny but he does open up some currency in the salery cap. If his foot is not quite right he could pick up 400 cool ones in compo and we could have a dabble at Hurley. Food for thought.

If he wants to come to us he will need to consider a lower contract. Possibly add another season in the process just to balance it out.

The plus is that it allows us to trade a KPP out without any impact to the team whist getting Hurley for nothing.
