Does look to have a touch of class. Outstanding debut, and played on tredea most of the day and beat him hands down.

This was a very impressive effort for a first-gamer. All day he looked very composed when the ball was in his hands. He was easily one of our better players today which is definately a positive going foward in the development of our current crop of kids. That contestant mark against Tredrea was fantastic.

I feel my work is much better

PS Watch the Brisbane supporters get angry

Perhaps some emoticons would have been a good idea in order to avoid the onslaught.

What a great debut. Should get the RS nomination.

I really wanted him at the Power, an excellent kick and great one on one. That mark against Tredrea was fantastic. Always looked cool. Can't wait to see how the young guy develops.

He played a great game, one of our shinning lights from yesterday. I also liked his 'smart playing'. He knew which leads to chase down and which leads to let Tredrea win. Most of Tredreas marks were out of the 50 leading into the flanks. Although he didn't do it yesterday I felt as though i could see him playing zone defence yesterday, or coming up as the third man in contests.
I can't wait to see him play on a lead up forward or someone with a bit of pace.

If Tarrent plays forward next week I would like to see Hurley on him.

On top of it all, it looks like taking him will give us so much more flexibility to free up and use Ryder in areas he is more suited to, which is an absolutely massive bonus.

Would not be suprised if Ryder is our main forward by round 22.

I see a backline combination of Hurley/Pears/Daniher getting as many games as we can reasonabily fit in for a season or two next to Fletcher. (Id say Pears/Daniher to come in and out, Hurley will play seniors whilst fit).

Neagle to play a few games out of the square, and suddenly the spine takes a massivly different look to last season, with so much less put on the shoulders of the aging 3.

First thing it was a great debut but lets not all get too carried away and act like a Tigers supporter and claim him as the next big thing(I'm not saying anybody has but lets keep a lid on it). Lets keep the expectations low and hope that he exceeds them.

Secondly, I would love to see Ryder in the forward line, I think his height and athletic ability would cause a few problems for apposing teams, problem is Hurley/Pears/Daniher all have a fair bit of work to do before we send Ryder up the ground. Too be honest I think that is 12 to 18 months away from happening.

I do agree with you Phat Toni, we can't put a huge expectation on him at this stage. He's played 1 game, and yes he was super impressive on debut, but it's not a career as yet. We can't expect him to play like that week in, week out this year because the facts are that 18 year olds just don't do it, unless your Judd or Selwood. There is plenty of upside and from what i've seen so far, he'll be a 200 game player at Bomberland.
