I don’t rate Voss as a Senior Coach but it is so much more than him.

Actually I changed my mind. Can we sack Voss right before the Collingwood game so we can get that new coach bounce. As well as another Cripps masterclass.

We need a coach that sees the value in players like Evans and Motlop.
He will also need to understand the reason for playing Cripps in the ruck.
Only then will our problems be solved.

Like it or not, we have a 2-4 year rebuild ahead of is.

Probably a good time to begin this with a new coaching team.

Longer than that. Gotta blow it all up, there's very little salvageable from this group.

The last qtr our structures were totally different to the first 3. We had players forward of the ball and didn't allow any loose spare players. We ran and used handball and suprise suprise we kicked goals.

Coaches are no good.

I was a little boy when Swannies were trash so I don’t have too many scares. But what I will say is losing 4 granny’s in a row has destroyed the soul.

I don't think we even played well that final quarter. It was just that North dropped off from when they were steady in the first and dominated the next two. Easy to make us look good that quarter though.

Coach needs to go , that is a given… list management is a disgrace… I’ve said it before.. silvagni at least had the club at heart and was part of a prelim final with what he was building… Graham Wright will not be the answer for the blues…. Longmire certainly ain’t.. yes he’s coached premierships but so had Malthouse…. Id like to see a coach with a game plan with this list minus the obvious players ( Motlop, Durdin , Williams and the like)…. Cripps has lost confidence in coach aswell I t

They did. Yeo you are right.

But when we got some speed and flow and run at anytime earlier in the game, it seemed to magically result in a goal.
We did that again in the last.

Naturally when we saw it was working earlier, we stopped it and went back to mark kick fail.

I think you are wrong on Longmire. He had that team up and about pratically his whole coaching career. He obviously had tactical skills and obviously the players loved him. Thats hard to do for a coach of what 13yrs maybe to keep players motivated for that long. Longmire is not Malthouse. Personally i think Longmire is exactly the coach we need.

Your comment in the match day thread made it sounds like our failings are mainly a coaching issue and was far too generous to the players.

This playing group needs to take as more, if not more of the blame (given they’ve rolled through 3 coaches).

IMO the playing group, club management (Board & Executives) and list management are significantly more at blame than coaching for our failings.
