I wish Mick could have departed in better circumstances as well - delisting him just didn't seem appropriate. It wouldn't have mattered to me if he was chaired off the ground by his teammates or announced in a press conference, but the situation didn't allow for it.
However, as Hearts To Hearts has posted, 2002 was supposed to be Mick's one last year. The club wanted him to retire at the end of the 2001 season, but he convinced Pagan to give him one more year. I just think that Mick should see what everyone else can see and realise that his time is up. If he stayed on, I fear that he would've finished his Arden Street days as a reserves player (not as a senior player), and I don't want to see him in another team's colours in 2003.
