COLLINGWOOD'S outgoing coach Mick Malthouse has said he will not be at the Magpies next year, despite the arrangement he had made with the club to stay on as director of coaching.

Malthouse's assistant Nathan Buckley will be the head coach in 2012, in a controversial agreement that was made in July, 2009. The agreement stated that Malthouse would stay at the club as an advisor to Buckley.

Malthouse confirmed in a press conference immediately after the Grand Final that he would not stay at the club to help Buckley in his first year in charge.
