Who has said Menzel wants to go?MLG has said AGAIN Mick to see out the year
I'm sure he's done his Maths, or some form of maths
Well I can only assume then we will be as close as possible to a financial train wreck by Sept
Although of course we don't have to pay two head coaches
Of bigger concern is whether any of the talented kids we have will have had their spirit destroyed and worse still if they have started considering leaving the club
Why would Menzel want to stay??
We are very close to being the new Melbourne
In fact some would argue we already are
This. Not knowing what to do and questioning themselves when they do the right thing... Shit coaching..
Who has said Menzel wants to go?
It all comes down to Mick not having faith in the list
Too many taggers to try and limit the oppositions talent to even things up as much as possible
Likely NOT instructing his players to take the game on bec he thinks they lack the skill to play that way - I know he's said the players should take the game on more but I suspect this is not the real message, I mean the continued use of the boundary line suggests he wants the team to play a conservative and safe brand of football
Publicly saying the list is devoid of talent
Jesus we're done
Carlton has gone backwards with MM. You would have been far better off with Ratts than MM.
Team is just a rabble now and nothing will change with him.
Get rid of him and put a Carlton man back in.
Not the answer, we need a new face with new ideas and new messages, someone from outside the club too.
The one shot he managed to get after a very good mark was straight as a die. No issues at all.How was Cas kicking for goals and filed kicks yesterday??
I disagree, we need someone that bleeds for the jumper, someone that will let his passion for the jumper transfer through to the players under his control.
Our biggest issue among many we have is that our players don't hurt when they lose, they have no passion to put every ounce of energy they have in a game, they have no passion to will themselves on when they are running out of puff on the field.
We need to close our club off to outsiders and insulate ourselves to the point where our players know nothing but Carlton and so are determined to bleed for the jumper.
First two years on the list were a series of knee injuries... and I suspect a bit of lost confidence because of it. Then he probably had people telling him that he needed to change his kicking action to compensate for any potential lose of movement in his knees. By that time, Barker and Green were doing their thing and have seemed to be more interested in coaching the small forwards than in coaching and helping out the big guys.Blatantly obvious he has improved his grip, ball drop and his confidence in 2 weeks, my question is WTF was happening with his development in these areas for the past 4 years or more ???
Collingwood held firm and didn't sack him in 2004/5 and when they were in vaguely the same position we are now and they were rewarded. I just feel that we should do the same. The only real difference Collingwood were further advanced at this stage in their rebuild despite finishing 13th and 15th respectively.
I would say thats more the club and the "rich benefactors" playing god with the match selection committee.Adam Simpson in his second year at WCE has the players thinking like this :
What does our great & illustrious leader do .......... rewards them time & time again for mediocrity, no-one from the 'select' group gets dropped regardless of how badly they play.
Port Adelaide reached outside its own base for the first time in a long time to bring in Ken Hinkley who had never been associated with Port, and it worked out quite well for us. He understood the culture we wanted right away.I disagree, we need someone that bleeds for the jumper, someone that will let his passion for the jumper transfer through to the players under his control.
