guys, look after what happened on the weekend i must say our midfield is terrible we all know it and i genuinelly have a solution. i know he is a little old, but i still think that wayne schwass has a place on our list. i think his drive and run through the midfield could help out belly and palmer. he has great skills, and premiership success. what do you think? we could probably actually pick him up in the PSD so no cost. thoughts?

Hahaha

He hates our guts :)

Better still, do the Hawks [Dew] and talk Josh Francou out of retirement...if he plays half as good for us as he played against us, he'll be a star.

hey, i was serious. i really do think schwass could help us on the field, he would also provide mcuh needed leadership

schwass retired a few yrs ago and is too old and slow, haselby back in the centre next yr will prove far better than schwass!

I still can't work out if you're serious pistol. He's 40 next year

Francou is even funnier. He hates us even more than Schwass. :p

I'll nominate Ben Allan. Fits in with NFs 'get Fremantle back into Freo' and would provide some very good leadership. And at least he likes us. :D

how is recruiting a 40 yr old who debuted(1988) the comp before the club even did viable? i think the way we turn it around is to recruit a few young mid's, definitely 1 inside mid to make palmers future career alot easier! crowley looks set as a tagger, imo he has always played best when the oppositions best midfielder is taking him to the ball, look no further than the jobs he did on nick stevens!

now now no need to get sarcastic. im serious, craig bradley playedfantastically untill he was cut short in his prime. i think schwass retired prematurely, much like stuart dew, he could make a real difference to our clearances

im not sure, but i dont think you are thinking of schwass's real positive for our on-field performance

I was sarcastic actually about Francou [he's a hack anyway],but there's a lack of smilies on this forum so I couldn't make it obvious :)

big dipper in the midfield.
might be old an slow but no way they can get there arms around him to tackle him so he will be an absolute gun at getting the clearances out to ibbo mayne an palmer.

plus he might squash an injure a few of there midfielders all by accident ofcourse

in all honesty why isnt anyone taking this legitimate suggestion seriously. this could really help our midfield in the short term while hinkley ryley dunn and andrew browne develop

This is all too surreal for me. Phil Matera retired prematurely as well, that doesn't mean I want him as a small forward right now.

Robert Harvey is out of contract at the end of the year, we'd be better off chasing him.;)

we could honestly se harvs right now, he is still playing some great footy, who honestly would not want harvs in our team right now??
schwass would be great. harvs would e better:thumbsu:

Is this a pisstake pistol or did Sunday break your brain?

Andrew Browne will never develop, unfortunately. Too injury prone. Dunn might just be the same.

Gilmore isn't really cutting the mustard in the ruck, and Warnock is out of form and will go home. So I think Basil Zemplis could be the answer.

The bonus is he could double as ruck coach.
Basil is shocking at maths, he'll never know the result.

hahaha

i am 100% serious. i think the experience and ability of schwass or harvey in our midfield would be potentially the difference between us being a top four side or the duds we are at the moment. especially with hase coming back from his knee
