are who exactly?

with Cotch out this week the starting mids should be
tuck , lids, martin, foley, jackson

rotating - edwards, ellis, vlastuin, knights

outside mids - Houli, Griggs and Newman

missing are Conca & Cotchin

development - Arnot

I think our midfield is too weak still. to be competitive we need EVERY midfielder fit for the whole year. We have lots of back flankers, small forwards and kp prospects, but we are still lacking midfielders.

ps anyone seen the squad on wikipedia -

Not sure what a kid in the TAC 3rds has to do with our midfield? Am I missing something?

Oh and the link goes nowhere.

Although a bit messy I understand the point. We need our entire midfield in to be a real force. A midfield of Cotchin, Deledio, Tuck, Martin, Conca & Foley with those rotations is a formidable line although you take 1 or 2 out and suddenly we look a look undermanned. I think what we have to hope for is players like Ellis, Vlastuin and Arnot eventually taking the next step and end up as permanent midfielders.

tried to point this out in another thread we need more options going through the middle. apart from the obvious youngsters developing our midfield does not bat that deeply.

I just talked to my source and he gave me some classified info that I had to sign for as not to go beyond BF tiger forum...fellow tigerheads I give you the the blue print for our rotations!!

I like this thread in that it highlights the point that we have very few midfielders learning their trade in the 2nd's. Helbig and Arnott is all I can see so far and a rookie in Williams, and there's more than a fair possibility that neither of these guys will make it. So imo we really need to focus in son drafting midfielders over the next couple of years. I would be disappointed if we didn't look at drafting at least 2-3 midfielders this year.

I agree. Not HBF'ers, not forward pocketers, genuine all out midfielders.

just saying that on the richmond wiki page they have some random player listed as number 17.

The op is very scattered, and thats how i think, but yeah basically says we have recruited a lot of non midfield players recently (yeah our 1st round picks recently are future on ballers) but our later picks need to be used on strong bodied midfielders as well for this and the next draft. All our other stocks (except maybe our rucks) are pretty well filled for the moment.

Martin, Ellis, Conca, Vlastuin and Cotchin are all in the 23 and under category. Couple of years time we should be sweet.
