Port are a fairly young team actually, take out Boak and there’s next oldest is Aliir at 30yo. So sort of rebuilding on the run without anyone really noticing. Played 10 players 22 or younger this season.Seriously good signing from Port if this eventuates.
Thought he was gone for all money.
If they add NWM and don't lose Butters or Bergman they are turning their back on a rebuild that is for sure.

It's the other way around.looking less likely to leave, massive win for port if true.
hopefully him showing faith convinces butters to sign to
Youngers doesn't mean quality youngsters and don't name Sinn or Jones.Port are a fairly young team actually, take out Boak and there’s next oldest is Aliir at 30yo. So sort of rebuilding on the run without anyone really noticing. Played 10 players 22 or younger this season.
Re NWM There’s a query on salary cap of course
Boak the only player of note likely to retire off season
Soldo possibly an out with visentini coming along now
So there’s likely a trade to happen to free up space I’m guessing
Our elite players are all still relatively young Rozee, Butters, Georgiadies, Bergman etc.Youngers doesn't mean quality youngsters and don't name Sinn or Jones.
Your use of etc is interesting as there is only one more including JHF with gap everywhere in your defense and forward. Our elite players are all still relatively young Rozee, Butters, Georgiadies, Bergman etc.
You ain't getting more than pick 5 for him. Dawson was a late first. No, we wouldn't
because pick 5 using the new draft value index is equal to the 2024 pick 6
then take into account the blow out of FS & NGA and academies picks this could push that pick out a lot more.
with the new draft value index coming into play at the end of the year - all players are now worth more.
As is his right? If he stays then that's twice he has done this with his contract negotiations. Put it all out there that he was going to go home, and then re-signs.
Guess you don’t watch Port games then.Rankine’s first game had more highlights than Bergman’s career to date.
Yes. The contract offered to him is two years until free agency with a player initated option for another 5.Does two years take him to free agency?
I don't disagree the depth looks pretty average but a full rebuild doesn't make any sense, you'd be trading out the likes of Butters hoping to get a player half as good as him and only a few years younger anyway. We need some elite talent in the key positions but they aren't immediately coming in from the draft anyway.Your use of etc is interesting as there is only one more including JHF with gap everywhere in your defense and forward.
Your midfield was never a concern, it's the rest of the ground. Not sure you will get a different Lukosius if he has to play as the 2nd KPF, Marshall would have been good as the 2nd KPF but his development stalled and even went backward before his serious concussions. Rioli is very good on his day but still very inconsistent at 30 and your backline is pretty shit. Sinn and the others aren't proven and if they end up being draft hit then you won't need a full rebuild but only a rebuild but right now your previous 1st rounders in Sinn and Jones aren't quality.I don't disagree the depth looks pretty average but a full rebuild doesn't make any sense, you'd be trading out the likes of Butters hoping to get a player half as good as him and only a few years younger anyway. As a nucleus a midfield of Butters, Bergman, JHF (rotating forward) with support from a Drew type is great and the age profile is perfect. In the same age bracket you've got Rozee off half back, Georgiades in the forward, and then hopefully we're still yet to see the best of Visentini, Lukoscius and Sinn (plus the other high draft picks that could come on, like Whitlock, Berry, etc) and it's more than a strong starting point talent wise. I think you can top up around the edges from that
Thanks for your input, you are 100% correct, don’t know how this mediocre squad made top 3 four of the past five years.Your use of etc is interesting as there is only one more including JHF with gap everywhere in your defense and forward.
Stop stinking this thread up with your Port Power are sooo crap shtick there’s the bay for thatYour midfield was never a concern, it's the rest of the ground. Your list was always good enough to smash up the poor team so it was always a good chance for top 4 given your easy draw but it was never a premiership contender team which is why you eventually fail in Finals against the good team because Hinkley continued to overpay for missing piece which aren't quality players. Thanks for your input, you are 100% correct, don’t know how this mediocre squad made top 3 four of the past five years.
It was all Houston and Dixon obviously.

You weren't even competitive against them so there's a big difference, our list has more quality than your list which is why we are usually in the game against the top 8 despite Temu Nicks game day "strategy" and playing 2-3 players down before the first bounce with his shit selection.Unless your 100% sure this description doesn't match your team, I'd probably hold off on saying stuff like this for now
