I would say a midfielder who kicks 2 goals in his 2nd game for the club as being ok offensively .

We need to find another 1-2 guys like him from GWS this year

Or just upgrade the one dimensional outside types we have on our list , with those who like the contest . Easier to teach a player how to play outside than it is to get a squib to play inside .

Its just sad the club didnt put Maric on the long term injury list and they could have upgraded him from day one. .... then when King was put on LTI he wasnt upgraded?????

Yes he kicked a couple but it doesn't change the type of player he is. He's an inside contested ball winner without a heap of offensive weapons (eg. Pace, great skills, strong marking, Ground level goal sense). Happy to have him but that's where you need to make the call on other similar types in the side like Petterd, Thomas, Jackson.

I didn't want gws to let him go. Was always a ball magnet and a hard player. Like it has been said he was limited in terms of upside/speed/kicking and with the list squeeze he was deemed surplus. I hope whiley doesn't get the same treatment!

Would not say we have seen his best, but certainly at 22 years of age his scope for improvement is less than if we had an 18 year old come in and do these things. Will still improve as he learns AFL football but yes he would not be too far from his peak.

I don't think you can absolutely say he is near his peak, considering he hasn't played many games, regardless of age. Hopefully he can rise even further, as he gets more continuity.

really hope we play petterd & thomas for the rest of the year to do the donkey work and get miles (run & spread) and vloss (run with) to develop and flourish in more attacking and damaging roles. if lids is injured rest him. we didnt have lids earlier and we missed him but things are different now.

LOL @ him being near his peak, he's only 22 and he's played like 10 games or something.

Anyway, he looks decent, hopefully the coaching staff don't try and turn him into a full back.

I don't mean to bust in guys, but just want to thank you for picking this kid up and giving him a crack, you won't regret it, great competitor and gives 100% every time, may have stuff to work on, but he will work on his game believe me, came from my home club of North Albury, and just a great, modest young fella. Don't know about the miley nickname, but if you get close enough to call him ''Snip'', pretty sure you'll get his attention. Anyway, it's been a tough season for u guys, but here's hoping Snip can contribute to an improved finish to your season
