After a whirlwind tour of the Windies, Miami and Vegas, I have fallen in love with Miller Lite Beer. The problem is back in Melbourne I am buggered to know where I can pick some up. I have tried Dan Murphys (Eltham) but they didn't sell it (I did however pickup a slab of Miller Genuine draft for $40) :thumbsu:

Anyone seen/bought Miller Lite Beer from anywhere in Melbourne.

Cheers

One thing I have to say, my perception is that Americans love their light beer. Is that a fair perception and if so, why is that?

Miller Lite has an alcohol % of 4.2, which is the low end heavy beer here. They call it Lite due to the low calorie and carb levels. After 6 you still feel great and not bloated like other beers.

See this link of Americas main beers and the difference in alcohol/calorie/carb levels.

I don't think you understand the differences between American beer and domestic beer.
Is that what you think? Do enlighten me then.

If you go on to describe the difference between Lite beer and Light beer you are an idiot.

Well it just seemed that you aren't aware of the differences.

Why else would you infer that drinking Lite beer is 'girly' and comparable to a Vodka Cruiser?

Because Lite beer is girly and comparable to a Vodka Cruiser. Who drinks beer whilst worrying about how healthy it is at the same time? Gays and girls, that's who.

Err no mate. It isn't comparable at all. Lite beer actually allows you to consume heaps more beer without feeling bloated, hence getting more drunk.

I think you didn't know the difference until someone else pointed it out, and now you're trying to cover for it.

p.s. I've heard you're quite the fat prick too, so of course anything "Lite" wouldn't be up your alley.

Lite beer is low carb beer. Low carb diets are stupid fads eminating from America that girls and gays love. These beers seriously lack taste and are marketed at women. My original comment was obviously tongue in cheek in regards to Cruisers. I can't believe I have to explain that to you.

And given that you don't know anyone who knows me, I don't care what you've heard. FWIW, I'm pretty much the opposite of fat so its a very ordinary attempt at humour by you in that final sentence. But then again, that is nothing new.

Enjoy ya lite beers, you little fairy.

These beers have been around much longer than low-carb diets have. So that entire comparison is irrelevant.

Low carbs allows you to drink more. Taste isn't affected at all.

Look fatboy, I know you were trying to act like a man by pretending these drinks are girly - but you failed, back to the drawing board I guess.

Rubbish.

Well that is a personal thing. I have tried many of these beers and think that they lack taste and many agree with me.

And just to confirm that you have been beaten you resort to name-calling and making things up. Boring. (just like Lite beer)

It is not. You're a god damned liar. Lite beer has been around for over a decade, and it rules. Miller Lite itself was created in 1967. Admit you're ignorant o the topic, you know NOTHING about beer.

you don't know "many" people, you're fat. Nobody likes fat people.

you're now claiming you didn't start this? Hilarious. You're trying to act "tough" by your own definition, and you're failing big time.

So I'm guessing that party you were organising isnt offering pure blonde via tap?

FFS YOTR.
I might have to consider, the girls and Lamey* love it. And both must be there.

It will be great, we can be fat and make things up together.

Yippee.

No chance of Miller Light ever gracing Australia shores.

Yeah Bud Light, Miller Lite & Coors Light are friggin huge in the states (not only in popularity but in size, the cans are friggin massive 710ml), but as with Carling, which is massive in the UK, the appeal just isnt enough in Aus to warrent importing it.

Will you admit you were wrong about low-carb diets being around longer than Miller Lite?

Considering Miller Lite has been around for 40 years, I find it hard to say otherwise - I'm sure you will be happy to admit your fault. Fatboy :)

The mention of Miller Lite brings back fond memories of those Miller Lite ads from the 1970's and 1980's log on to www.youtube.com/watch?v=udpwHYESIaQ for one of those ads.

However, if you think Drinking Miller Lite is like making love in a canoe, then log on to www.youtube.com/watch?v=653s-FBXpTA and please, I do not want to catch anybody not drinking after lights out!!!!

You can't top Busch Lite.

$10-11 for a case of 24 :thumbsu:

Utter, utter filth.

Let's rip into the Keystone Light while we're at it :thumbsd:

The US has so many boutique breweries with pretty cheap and very good beer that I'll be buggered why people drink cats' piss like Bud Lite, Miller Lite and the rest of it.

Mate, you can't be serious.

I'm living in the US - by marriage. I have a ton of it in my beer fridge for when people come over and never ever touch the stuff. Not even when I'm out of Yuengling and hanging out for a beer. That's how badly I rate it :)
You're right about it being dirt cheap though. 36 cans for $15/$16.

I am right there with you. I can handle MGD but Bud and Coors are cold cat piss. They are disgraceful beers.
