Millers Comments???

I'd say Collingwood above most clubs would respect us. They haven't had much success over us in the last few years.

Comments like this are good to get the game in the paper. but thats it.

Would have been better to give the new boys a bit of a plug, rather than continue the Frawley' line of respect.

Win games and we will get respect.

And get the respect from the supporters first by putting in 110% win lose or draw. We are not stupid, we can see when we go down fighting.

If this has got the coaches at collingwood secretly fuming and planning a good 'remark comeback' it can cloud the plannning process a bit. I know when I'm ****ed off it can take me hours before I get my concentration back again.

IMHO they have a bit too much experience to be fooled by this one....but then again Balme and malthouse have already responded in the press...hmmmmm

There's no harm in being provocative and needling the opposition from time to time in public (as Malthouse did before the Port final last year).

But in the end all that matters is the final result, and it has all blown up in Miller's face.

Millers Comment

I liked millers comment,showed a bit of fight, now we need to back it up and show a bit of fight on the field. But other than that there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a few swipes at the enemy hopefully it rubs off onto the players.

How the hell would Miller know if Collingwood respected Richmond or not . Miller is a dud and his comments totally backfired . He has only been at one football club , 2 if you count the "Hammerheads" , so if he knew about any 1 club not respecting Richmond , it might have been the club he came from .

one of the collingwood directors said it to him straight, but anyway its fair enough, we dont deserve much respect for the way the club has performed on and off field for the past 20 years............good on miller for coming out and saying it!

I think the jibe was directed directly at the Richmond players and had nothing to do with Collingwood at all. Coolingwood were just the vehicle used to deliver the message.

Obviously didn't work too well or maybe the players just didn't realise that they were the real targets.
