It has been reported that Mitch Brown has broken the jaw of one of souths younger players. The talk is that south freo may look at charging brown over the incident. Non the less this is shocking news for brown and he will probably miss a lot of footy.

I agree with Schofield though what does going on twitter and abusing Brown help anything.

Let the WAFL and south fremantle deal with it. I'm sure browny is feeling like shit and will have to deal with the consequences.

Despite from what I've read our boys aren't saying anything to get into trouble over, it's the sort of thing that can cross a line pretty easily, last thing the club wants is a media shitstorm.

Basically what it boils down to is that behind the play, a 17 year old kid for South Freo had his jaw broken.

How that happened is what's not known.

Obviously the Souths guys think it's a straight up case of Mitch completely decking the kid.

I don't want to come back tomorrow and say I told you so, like I did to my sons tonight when the older coaxed the younger (yes it's a bit like East Freo v South Freo ) to play FIFA12 with him.

No one know's what happened.

McGrath is big noting himself, stated he saw it all - but then did nothing about it?

Let's bag Brown out after he's been found guilty, not on the back of a couple of WAFL players who act tough on twitter, an hour or so after the event.

oh no, i am in no way defending him. i'm just saying the claims that brown and him were standing 100m behind the play and brown just thought it was a good idea to give him a knock to the jaw doesn't sit right with me, it would have had to be in some kind of push and shove initiated by something....

Hard to be able to defend Brownie. It's fairly clear what happened by the sounds of it, and IF, IF it is true, what does this mean for him? If he gets a massive ban could this mean delisting?

Bad news for Mason Shaw. Can't comment on the incident, but if he was really the victim of an unprovoked hit behind play then any unnecessary time on the sidelines for a kid aiming to be drafted is unfortunate. Having your jaw broken and being concussed would be pretty bad to.

Funny as the twitter fight is, it can only end badly given the nature of the football media in WA (and Victoria if it is considered newsworthy over here).

Not that I blame them for defending a mate from verbal attacks before the truth has come out....
