What about Brown and Simmonds and Polak and even McMahon.
We paid a little bit high for McMahon but did ok with all the others.
Didn't we get Simmonds effectively for Aaron Fiona??

Couldnt agree more. I know Cotchin has been such a success, we've all been walking around with woodies for months... but it was hard to go wrong when we had pick 2.

To get Morton with a 3rd round pick, is an absolute steal. Has class to burn and he's not frightened of anything. Has got some serious confidence about him!

Yep! Mitch is a gun. He can still improve on things but certainly looks the goods.

Does alot with limited opportunities, just needs to not be the focal point. Several times against essendon he was 1 on 1 with his opponent with the ball coming in high and got smashed. Needs it on the ground or on his chest because he doesnt quite have the overhead strength of say a scott welsh or a corey jones.


All that being said i think we've got quite a special player here.

If, and it's a big if, he can improve overhead by becoming a one grab mark, then I think we have a 70 goal a year forward. His inability to take a one grab mark is his only serious deficency at the moment.

Hopefully in time he can give us another option through the midfield.
