Poor Sub-Zero at the end
Also Boon apparently has promised glorious fatalities to be revived which would be epic.

If God of War 3 got through unscathed, this should be fine I would think.
Yeah, was a nice take on the whole Mortal Kombat universe. Been plenty of criticism for it going for realism over the supernatural world that is MK. But I think if you're to have something that works as a film then this could be the style needed.anyone seen the short film?
God of War's Kratos was confirmed as a PS3-exclusive character at the Spike VGAs. According to WBIE, he'll have his own move set, fatality, and fighting arena. NetherRealm's Ed Boon spoke briefly about Kratos' inclusion in a recent press release. "We could not be more excited to have Kratos in the new Mortal Kombat, since we've always felt he would fit perfectly into our universe and can't wait for Mortal Kombat and God of War fans to play this game," he said.
For those that are into it hopefully you can get your hands onto one of these. The Kollectors Edition featuring the award-winning Mortal Kombat game, Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, a collectible art book, downloadable content that includes an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes.
The Tournament Edition featuring the award-winning Mortal Kombat game, a portable fight stick, and downloadable content that includes an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skin and avatar costumes. The number of tournament editions is very limited with only 20,000 copies available in North America.
Warner’s just confirmed an April 18 UK launch for the reboot of Mortal Kombat.
anyone seen the short film?
More news on this. The guy who made the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short film has been granted a 10 episode web series from Warner Bros.Yeah, was a nice take on the whole Mortal Kombat universe. Well, it looks like Warner Bros. did take notice of Tancharoen's work and the positive attention it got, though a movie is not the result. Instead, Bloody Disgusting reports that Tancharoen will be directing an official, Warner Bros. produced, 10-episode Mortal Kombat webseries. Tancharoen, Todd Helbing and Aaron Helbing will write the webseries (the Helbing brothers both write for Spartacus: Blood and Sand, alongside Tancharoen's sister, Dr. Horrible writer Maurissa Tancharoen), while Michael Jai White will reprise his role from the short as Jax.
Bloody Disgusting say they hear Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Sub Zero, Durak, Kabal, Kitana/Mileena and Scorpion will also appear, with casting underway.
Seen some of the fatalities. Holy crap man are they over the top and visceral. I'm not usually left with my jaw wide open over gore but that fatality by the guy with the blades in his hats is insane.

Do we have a complete character list yet?
Twenty-three playable characters have been revealed to date, being Baraka, Cyrax, Ermac, Jade, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kano, Kitana, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Mileena, Nightwolf, Noob Saibot, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion, Sektor, Shang Tsung, Sindel, Sonya, Stryker and Sub-Zero.
Goro and Shao Kahn have been confirmed to be bosses, and are unknown to be playable as of yet.
The character Kratos from the God of War series is available as a playable (in versus mode only) character exclusively on the PlayStation 3 version. Boon stated that the Mortal Kombat team felt Kratos would "fit perfectly" into the Mortal Kombat universe.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mortal_Kombat_(2011_video_game)#cite_note-36
