Just on that quote in the Herald Sun saying Morton is looking for a 3rd club. I for one hope this is speculation. In my eyes, Morton and Connors are two players that are relatively unique to our list. They may lack the intensity of a White or a Nahas, but they have a certain amount of X-Factor that can't be taught and I don't think it is prevalent anywhere in our list.
I'm pretty much resigned to losing Connors, but that makes it all the more important to hold onto Mitch. Look it this, it was only 1 year ago that he almost won us the game against Port.

Morton has weaknesses, mainly in defensive pressure, but he's just such a good finisher and always gets into the right positions. Even this year in the back end of the season, he didn't set the world on fire but he never makes a horrible mistake, and that's not something you can say about the bulk of our list. Exactly the type we need in our midfield rotations. All he needs is for Hardwick to back him in like he did with his mates Nahas and King, and give him that high half forward/wing role to make the most of. With Connors likely gone, we need to hold onto our only enigmatic forward, primarily because he's the only player of his type at our club.
Hopefully next year, with Dimma's full support, we'll see more of this -
