Buddy by sooooooooo much, only player that can have a stadium full and on their feet. Final against us in 2008 was a good example, had Bulldogs supporters cheering for him at one stage.

NikNat or Jurrah, but obviously Franklin has a shitload more actual runs on the board than either of them

I get the feeling there will be some extraordinary finals matches in a few years with Jurrah at one end and NikNat at the other both getting their freak on

I wonder what would happen if these two were isolated in the goal square and a long high ball got pumped in there... I suspect the universe would collapse in on itself

No offence, but not until Jurrah can show us a full game NikNat did last week, can we really speak about them in the same breath.
Not saying he won't, but not yet.

He did, against Port last year. That was a real game as well, not a NAB cup game against Essendon's 4th and 5th choice ruckman.

exactly right... he kicked 3 bags of 4 in his first 9 games, with a midfield service that was usually being smashed. In addition to that he always has a hand in many other goals... how could you have the nerve to suggest Naitanui has actually proven more? What a joke.

Natanui will perform better over longer periods of time.
Jurrah will come and go through the course of a game, but Natanui has the ability to impose himself upon every contest.

Natanui is here to stay but I couldn't be so sure about Jurrah (even if he was to be playing for my team)

In you heart I'm sure you know that.

well I don't know that, what I know is that Jurrah is ALSO a natural footballer in addition to being a freak athlete, which NikNat is not

Besides, that was not the point I was making, the suggestion was that NN has proven more on the field ATM which is utter bullshit. Before the other night, beating the worst ruck combo to ever to take the field, the suggestion would have been laughable

LOL at Harker, seriously.

Just watch the first couple of minutes of this video.

This is domination in a REAL HOME AND AWAY MATCH, against the minor premiers. Not against a VAFA quality ruck division in a NAB Cup match.

Niknat is exciting but doesn't have anywhere NEAR the amount of skill that Jurrah has.

Both have a similar approach to their profession - work hard, don't get ahead of yourself, earn the respect of your teammates.

But like an old couple they cannot help finishing each other's sentences when attention turns to their teammates.

Indigenous wonder Liam Jurrah, in particular, has them awestruck.

Scully: "Some of Jurrah's marks at training . . ."

Trengove: "He's the biggest freak I have ever seen".

I get it- you think NicNat will be the better player. That's a valid opinion to have.

To suggest though he has done more at this point than Jurrah and Jurrah needs to catch up to NicNat is ridiculous.

Also, would love a peek in your crystal ball when its free one day. Cheers.

Well, one was picked up no. 2 in the national draft the other on. 1 in the pre-season, so I don't think the perception of quality was out of whack.

Whichever way, I wouldn't want to deny Jurrah becoming the champion you envisage him becoming.
The more the better for my liking, as we are entering a period now that the football is going to be very exciting indeed.

Between you and me, I hope that to be the case.
I love my team but I love quality football all the more.
You didn't really have to post that video for me though, as I've marvelled at some of those freaky feats many times over.
Having been that you've done the work for me, one more time won't hurt :thumbsu:

Don't know why people keep bringing this up. Most of the great stuff Naita did in that match were as a midfielder or a forward, against guys like Watson and Fletcher.

And }>-DEMON-<{, Jurrah would absolutely smash Naitanui in an aerial contest. :o

He has gone nowhere near him in that department either. There is a total of 1 mark in that video and he had height and position on his oppnent, big whoop. Come back to me when he's tsanding on packs taking one-handers.

BTW 3 of the goals are cheapies, the last is the easiest goal you'll ever see as the ump just throws it straight it to him

The last goal was.

Not sure how you can argue any of the others were. The second one he disposessed an Essendon player, and won a free kick through his defensive pressure. The 50 was there, and he kicked well from a set shot.

For his third goal he outmuscled Fletcher in the square, just threw him aside, and while he missed the first attempt he still had time to get up and kick it.

I reckon he's great value, he won't play that well every week, but he's the type of player you go to games to watch. :thumbsu:

it was a free for in the back, rubbish, and if getting a 50 is something you get credit for then fine go right ahead. He did kick it straight from 40m out in front. That's great.

The other one was just pathetic play by 2 bombers to let him kick that from 0.5 out off the carpet, hardly a display of skill

anyway I'm not saying he's shit, just that his match the other night was only average in the ruck, against shizen opponents, it was poor in the air, and only worth 1 goal really. Nowhere near enough to warrant him ahead of Jurrah ATM

Did you actually read what I wrote? I said Jurrah would destroy Naitanui in the air, not the other way around.

And yes, those three goals were cheapies, but that first one wasn't.
