Bit of speculation on who is our most improved player this year

Is it the blonde bombshell who stepped up in the absence of a brownlow medalist? Is it the man many wanted delisted due to poor disposal that has transformed into one of our most reliable small defenders? Maybe the Imp who has turned the corner after getting a real shot at it? Could it be the man who has entrenched himself in our best 22 after falling through the grasp of all 17 other clubs at last years national draft?

Time to put your money where your mouth is and vote for who YOU think is the most improved player on our list.

* If you do vote 'other', please state reasons as to why you voted other and the player you have voted for. Will be a very good strong discussion and one who could be dominated by so many options.

Of our young guns (21 and under)
Zach Merrett: The games he plays now are already significantly better then the start of the year and on top of that, much to my disappointment, none of our younger players have really stepped up this year (Kav hasn't got the senior opportunities, Jackson Merrett has been terrible after a strong start, Gleeson and Dalgleish both injured etc)

Of the rest of our list
Travis Colyer narrowly beats out Heppell and Baguley.
Colyer has done an amazing job, many people had written him off, they never thought his disposal was going to be good enough, or for him to be an impact player for the club. He has well and truly proved the haters wrong, cementing himself in our best 22 coming into the finals, the speed he offers the side is invaluable and definitely a crowd pleaser.

Some great improvers which is fantastic. I wouldn't have out Z Merrett in there due to him not being there last year.

1. Colyer: wanted him gone, thought his disposal wasn't fixable. I was wrong and he is playing brilliant footy. His marking has also impressed me.

2. Bags: Again, disposal has improved so much that he is able to give some drive, as well as lock down. Almost an AA year.

3. Hooker: So consistent, AA year. Another who has proved many wrong. Even the believers wouldn't have expected this. Only finished 3rd because he was very good last year without being a star.

4. Ryder - found consistency, finally. Huge improvement in consistency.

5. Heppell- always been a gun, an even bigger gun now.

6. Myers - enjoying his season. Still has more improvement coming I feel.

7. Hurley - deserved mention. Another who will continue to grow.

We were all perplexed by the promotion of Baguley to the senior list but he has not looked back this year to become arguably our most improved played this year. His disposal has improved out of sight, or more so his decision making to know his limitations. The one thing that has seriously impressed me the most with Baguley is his overhead marking, taking some stellar contested marks whilst his tackling is as hard as anyones, almost manic.

With another pre season behind him (and the other back 6) we have one of thee best back 6's in the league IMHO.

Colyer has taken the much much bigger leap. Baguley has been improving year on year. Travy for mine.

Polls like this you should make the votes public. I voted Colyer.

I went Bags, but Colyer's very close. For a small defender, he's very capable of playing tall and a consistently strong mark. One of our better tacklers as well, and his kicking has improved out of sight.

Would love for Kav or Hams to win it next year.

Colyer by the length of Conrod Straight at Mount Panorama.

Colyer. What a great season. Great pace. Exciting to watch

I'm a big fan of Baguley. His tackling and disposals have improved

I voted Baguley.

As good a season as Colyer is having, Baguley has gone from fringe player to now being able to impact each week and on a consistent basis.

Colyer has also gone from fringe player but is still closing that gap between his best and worst.

(Agree that Colyer's turnaround has been phenomenal)

Easy...... Colyer

although there has been alot of improvement from alot of players, just not the consistency.

It's def not Bags, most of his work (especially with his kicking) was taken care of in the 2013 pre season. Been helped a lot with better team defense.

Going from a borderline (15 - 25) spot on our list, to possibly a lock (top 10) player in our side.
