Daniel Motlop has made a mistake and has suffered the consequences. However, his mistake in comparison to the likes of the West Coast Eagle players and others are minuscule. Another example is the recently appointed Carlton captain and the very public fights that he has had in the past month.

In reference to Daniel's father, as I understand it, he is a life member of several clubs in the NT, and is recognised as one of the hardest clubmen in the NT in all sports that he applies himself.

Lets stick to facts and not personal opinions. And a fact is that Daniel will not be the last person to miss training.

nintiwirri what do you really know all you have probably done is warm benches, spectating all your life, you dont know his father personally, so you have absolutly no idea what morals and principles his father has in life. so who are you to judge people? :mad:
 
I wouldn't call Motlop lazy, he does put in the hard yards on the tack, he just lacks the discipline so does stupid things from time to time like miss minor sessions, something we had to ride him for years due to poor discipline and he is significantly better than he was originally.

I just think he is the kind of player you will need to be on his back constantly to overcome the discipline slips. When he gets comfortable and cocky then he is more prone to suffering from the occassional brain fart.

He is still a talented player, the club just needs to do the right thing like they are doing by punishing him for that slip. Missing that game will hurt him, he always loved heading back to Darwin to play against his home crowd.

I played one game of league footy for Norwood sir:) But I admit I wasn't up to scratch.Your achievments are?:) :confused:
Actually I am a little concerned with your behaviour.

I am actually a Christian and do not drink sir.I have many Aboriginal friends and my fiancee is black.Maybe you are actually a Woman?Then I can understand how you know so much about football:D

Sadly I agree.
I saw Daniel as a 15 year old skinny kid running around for Wanderers in Darwin and thought this kid could be anything?Injury was blamed for his form at the Roos but Laidley claimed he was glad to be rid of the headache.Now we maybe know what headache he was referring to?

Well I live in Tokyo, and have lived in various places around the world and Australia, but one doesn't need to be well travelled to know bullsht when it's spoken.

I doubt that but in any case being in a majority does not make one right or learned. At one stage a majority of people thought the Earth was flat.

And here we have an example of the Fullarton Power style of argument, kids - abuse and assertions that 'my experience has made me wiser that all of you'. Take my advice, kids, never use it. It reflects worse on you than your target(s).

If we are talking about the recovery session on the Saturday morning after the Crows game then Motlop did turn up late. By the time he had turned up most of the players had left or were leaving.

The year before he got injured he kicked 30 something goals as i remember.
After that there was no form because he was injured.

I think the only problem laidley had was that Motlop wanted to leave the club.
