So if we don't sign him and he wants to move on, he nominates for the PSD and we get nothing for him?

Hmmm, good point. Not sure.

I honestly can't see why Murph would want to leave either but I'm also nervous because he is taking his sweet arse time signing the damn thing!

I highly doubt he'll leave. Try and get other things to occupy your mind and just wait for the (hopefully) upcoming announcement).

I guess the thing in the back of my mind is TB69's daughter asked him about it at the B & F and his response wasn't very positive yet the next day there was an article on the website stating the exact opposite...

He may have been drunk :D

Fingers (and toes) crossed.

Pics? ;)

He'll sign. It would be a disaster for us if he didn't, as well as a pretty stupid move career-wise for him.

could it just be that the club is waiting on the possible signature of Daniel Kerr...

Not saying we should get/ are going for him... But could this be the reason that Murphy & the club are waiting to see how much $$$$ are available in the Cap after the possible signature of Kerr???

Something from left field

He can put a price on his head in the PSD.

I don't think he will leave but just makes me wonder what the hold up is that's all.....

Not according to the Herald Sun this year. IIRC they reported that Melbourne are in the top 5 clubs paying the most of their salary cap! God knows who they are over paying!

melb must reduce their cap to 92% if they wish to still receive afl funding. They won't have any room for a big name. Sucks to be them

Neitz and White would've taken a fair bit of their room. They'll be close to being under the minimum cap with those two gone alone.

I'm guessing the club is waiting to see what trades can be done before signing him, thus ensuring the structure of his contract (front/back ended) most suits the club in the present and future.

Pretty clever really, but you'd expect nothing less from the current administration.

Exactly. As I have said previously, I have complete faith in our off-field team to do the best thing for our club.
