any update on the injury? didn't look good...

The report from Brad Seymour, who was boundary riding for Fox Footy, said the Carlton medics don't believe it's too serious, but they will wait for scans over the next couple of days.

I hope its not too bad. Did anyone hear Lynch on MMM before the game saying he would probably be targeted

I didn't hear that, but it was to be expected, what was worse was probably the Brisbane crowd booing him.

flipping tools.

Agree, he wanted to stay in melboure there is nothing wrong with that. If he wasnt playing so well they wouldnt care.

The fact that he layed a tackle after the initial injury suggests it isn't to bad.

I know we all know, but gee, we have found an absolute superstar of the future for us.

Hope it doesnt, couldnt stand that little sh#t Thomas winning it.
It would be just as bad if Heath Shaw won it.

Have we what! Just a pity that he couldn't show the Brisbane ferals how good a player he is. I can't believe they were booing him. Very poor form.

Where I watched the game it was very hard to hear the sound. I think its an absolute disgrace they are booing him, but its a positive to how good he actually is..... jealousy hey.

You have got to be kidding guys. Come on, are you going to tell me that no Carlton crowd, or a Collingwood crowd, a Richmond crowd, a Melbourne crowd have never booed anyone ? Get real, smell the coffee....and take it as a mark of respect that the Brisbane crowd obviously think so highly of the upcoming 2006 Rising Star winner. Don't bag the Brisbane crowd for booing him, in fact, if they didn't I would be asking why they didnt.

If we've booed someone its been for a reason.

What Brisbane fans did tonight, would probably be the equivalent of us booing Brendan Goddard or Daniel Wells.

That would be plain Moronic

I missed his injury. I gave my thoughts on TBV without watching the replay or looking at the stats. I thought he seemed a bit quiet. What happened to him?

was tackled by Copeland, released the ball and was slung and dumped to the ground, hurt his shoulder, but he continued to play on for the next minute or so before coming off, and heading straight up the race.

Just saw the replay, saw the tackle at the game too but didn't see him go off. I was wondering why nobody was pinpointing Fev tonight ... now I know. Losing Murphy may have been the difference between the two sides tonight.

I was really disappointed to hear he got injured.
I guess all great players start their careers like that. In my first year I played about 12 games then broke my collarbone. :)

I hope its not too serious.

Kid is in his first year and just because he ****s all over the opposition, they do that, he didn't deserve that.

I am really happy though that he got back and laid that tackle and also when carrazzo stood up for him and shoved the bigger players back.

They also tried to target simmo, they threw him down pretty hard too.

i am really appouled by brisbanes behaviour , but it doesnt matter because they are just ****ed off he didnt wanna to go to brisbane, oh well we know we got a future superstar, hopefully hes fine and can play next week GO MURPHS !

It wasn't anything particularly dirty, he was just slung to the ground - something he did himself to a Lion a minute later. Good to see Barney's big boot in Copeland's groin a few minutes later though, with a nice follow-up by Carazzo. We need more flag flying.

Apparently the way he tried to break his fall may have popped his shoulder, although it looked a better landing than having the point of your shoulder driven into the ground. Hopefully he's back next week and wins the rising star award this year. It would be cruel for him to miss it now.

We all know that Leigh Matthews is a p rick, there's no doubt he would have told everyone to hit Murphy hard.... I wish Carlton would hit players hard.

It was a hard, strong tackle.... something we could learn from.

Happy that Carazzo stood in, Simpson also had a crack at Copeland when he was injured. Good leadership.

Copeland's a dog. :thumbsd:

Who would want to inflict further injury to a young kid?

What if it was Jonathon Brown's hip instead?
