Heat forward LeBrone James is the NBA's MVP for a third time, putting him alongside some of the game's all-time greats.

James is winning the award for the third time in four seasons. Only seven other players - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone - have at least three MVP trophies.

Rings or no rings, he would have to go down as one of the greats.

How many does everyone think he can win? I see no reason why he can't get at least another 2.

*Had to edit quote to identify who this guy actually is

Don't know how Kevin 'backpack' Durant didn't beat Lebrone. Also a notable fact Lebrone somehow managed 85% of the vote.

Obvious choice, could win 2 or 3 more. But rings are more important and he has a doughnut.
And he still will by seasons end

"James received 85 out of a possible 121 first place votes (1,074 total points).

Kevin Durant finished second with 24 first place votes (889 total points), followed by Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Tony Parker, Kevin Love, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Steve Nash, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Russell Westbrook, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan and Joe Johnson."

Ok, which meth addicts gave votes to D-Rose and Joe Johnson?

FWIW, I hate MVP awards. Is LeBron the most valueable player in the league? Hell no, that team can still win without him, his value plummeted when he changed cities. The award should be Steve Nash's, then again, if you look at value for money Lin might just be the man who deserves it.

jesus christ, you couldn't be more wrong

what about chris paul?

he has helped turn the clippers from a laughing stock to the second round of the playoffs even despite a douche coach that wont be there next year.

He was in the top 3 or 4 players this season but still not close to Durant or LeBron.

Lebrone was the best player in the NBA this season.

In terms of value to their team - Tony Parker, Chris Paul or Kevin Love
