Not going to ramble on....but;)

Just wanted to express my disappointment in the club for trading away a player like Collins for a uncontracted player like Grigg.

Its not a matter of who is better - Grigg or Collins - but more an issue of our club being in a much stronger bargaining position and settling on a trade which was - if anything - more fair to the opposition.

While other clubs like Collingwood, Carlton & Hawthorn have made a history of being "hard to deal with" - our club has always made a habit of giving the opposition " a fair deal".

Every trade in the last 10 years has been "fair" at best for our club - and when we finally are in a position to take advantage of a club ( a sworn enemy )who are in a vunerable position- we let them take a quality person like Collins

Very disappointed Hardwick:thumbsdown: Its not a matter of if Grigg will end up being better than Collins - its a matter that we could have gotten Grigg without losing a player that may, or may not, be better or equal to him....

Nice guys finish last Tig's - wake up to this:rolleyes:

we didnt have a strong position until now. essendon and carlton knew we had to trade for one of houli or grigg. we traded for grigg. now we are in a strong position.

Agree with the OP...seriously what were we trying to do? Win brownie points with the Carlton, the most corrupt, lowdown, dirty, unscrupulous sporting club in the country.

Yeah right, like they'll return the favour one day....the only thing those rat bastard vultures will remember us for over this is what pushovers we were....

You make trading sound like exchanging footy cards. Which I reckon you do a lot of in your spare time. We only see the external information on these trades and are not privvy to what is discussed behind closed doors. There could be other factors/limitations on getting the deal done. In the end, the RFC got their man (one which they targeted at the start of the week). I don't see any problems with this trade other than a few of you big footy fans need to find a new love child.
So unless you were part of the negotiations and know all the facts, you can shove your ramble and examples of "pre-Hardwick" trades up your pretentious a$$.

I am unsure why Richmond folded like they did? The upper hand was all yours. For us to get Collins who could prove to be even a better player than the one you recieved is just amazing.

I certainly can understand the disappointment.

Folded?
We got the man we wanted and gave you someone we didn't want.
lol

Yeah and hang on to "guns" like Jackson, Tuck, McGuane & Moore & King instead.
What don't you understand? We have to keep these guys because nobody else wanted them. Like we can trade our steak knives for some Wusthofs (these are some seriously good knives).

Moore still servicable unless you think Collins would have been a better CHB.
King played with more intensity than Collins given the little man's physical limitations.

I am unsure if collins will prove to be much better than he already is, struggles to bulk up and has a minimal tank

Collins was asked the question and he chose to go, if Dimma thought he was necessary he could have just told CFC to **** off

Now we have enough leverage to prise open Hird & co. and effect our other trade for Houli

Please stop trying to disguise this as anything but trolling.
