He did me proud. He came in during a storm back around March, then made his little home in the corner. Sometimes he would crawl down for a drink in the sink.

Nah he was pretty pumped. His fur made him look extra jacked when he got a bit dusty. I reckon he had some hot Arachnid nights and has family out there.

I always treat the spiders well, they are our allies in the Great Mosquito War.

They get a free pass, and if they're in danger of being squashed I take em outside to a nice safe bush.

Bugs beetles cockroaches also go outside, to the chook house.

Spiders are amazing creatures.

Still, I am glad we are spared the funnel webs in Melbourne. They are terrifying, but as someone with one of my degrees in biology, I can appreciate that a species that has barely changed over millions of years is basically as close to a perfect organism as you will find.
