Of that group I would like to see Gaff get the gig, took massive steps last year, this would be further progression in his maturity and leadership skills.Wonder who captains? Good chance for some of the younger players to step up since all our leadership group is not playing. I would like one of Schofield, Gaff, Hutchings or Yeo step up and play captain.
No Kennedy, Darling, LeCras. Should be interesting to see who's named up forward. Could it be the return of key forward Mitch Brown?!
How dare you leave out the great man, who has been left out of the team

We have named 29 players - so 3 will be EMGs and not play
Wouldn't be surpised if that was Gaff, Yeo and Wellingham
Cripps maybe
And name an under 24s team? No way they take those 3 outWe have named 29 players - so 3 will be EMGs and not play

Would have thought if there was any doubt - simply don't name him
"I'm excited to see them all run out, but Jetts and Gilesy in particular." -Justin Longmuir
"We will see Jetts playing off the wing and half forward." -JL
"Brownie is just a 'smidge' ahead of Ezy in terms of his body. It's best prep for Ezy to look to NAB two and three." -JL
"I'm ambitious, but I'm happy to give he reigns back to Simmo after this week. This is his team and I'm happy doing my job for the side." JL
"The holistic view of the whole squad with fitness staff and medical staff is an adjustment and a challenge for my development." -JL
"Premierships these days are won on lists, not just the 22 that are on the park." -JL
"Taking a young side gives us a really good opportunity to develop. @WillSchofield will captain the side on Sunday." -JL
"I don't think Crippa will get up. We're taking a no-risk policy and he didn't train fully today." -JL
"Matthew Allen is going to be a big boy when he fills out, he's got elite skills and good hands. But he's still got a lot of work to do." JL
"Sheed and Redden have been working on a similar timetable so they've been pushing each other through." -JL
"It's going to be a great opportunity for Luke Partington to play in front of some family and friends." -JL
"I worried about coaching the group this week. I haven't chatted to Gill about the ticket system." -quip from JL
"Jack Darling has shown some really good strength though the pre-season and having a strong fitness base will improve his endurance." -JL
Yes. I'd rate then both in our top 10. Take 2 top players out of any team fielding an especially young side and it will affect them greatly. Look at Melbourne, pushing out their senior players leaving them with an ultra young side. Young players need to be surrounded by senior players and bigger bodies to give them confidence. If they get pushed around it can sent their confidence for a long timeAnd that is changed greatly by leaving Gaff and Yeo in....?
Fit players who are missing:
Shuey
LeCras
Priddis
Mackenzie
Hurn
Naitanui
McGovern
Darling
So in other words, we've picked the weakest possible squad.
