pathetic from our spectators as well. I never felt GF like after 10 minutes.

Fremantle took him pretty early ( late first rounder from memory ) and they were besotted with the big frame and his aggressive attack on ball and man.
Unfortunately for Fremantle Apeness has a couple of faults ( that were blatantly obvious even at TAC level , when he was at The Eastern Rangers ).

Firstly, whilst he is a terrific straight line player , unfortunately, his lateral movement is sadly non existent and he actually makes "The Q Stick " look nimble.
Secondly he doesn't hold his feet well in general and often goes to ground after a marking contest , he is always mindful and protective of his weak knees.
He had done an ACL before he was 16 and still has niggling knee and injury worries.

Back to his Vic Metro year he wasn't the best Vic Metro ruckman, but due to injuries and a generally poor crop of tall's that year, he was asked to fill that role even though it was not his forte.
At The Rangers he was a tall forward who did the occasional chop out job in the ruck.
At The Rangers he was a KPF that rucked occasionally ...nothing more, nothing less.

He was a monster lump of a kid that did well at the TAC level because he was 15-20 kg bigger than his opponents, they grew ..... he didn't and the rest is history. Eventually kids like him are found wanting as the advantage of bulk is quickly surpassed by talent and ability.

I coached in Melbourne (U 16 's), at a feeder Club to The Northern Knights, a decade ago and he reminded me so much of Ryan Willits ( Northern Knights and a similar late first round pick for Port # 19 2004 ) three years latter Willits was delisted by Port , I can see similar happening with Apeness.
( By the way I think Willits was a better player /prospect than Apeness).

Back to the original question.

You never know we may share mates ...... having lived 12 years away from Perth before I eventually came home , I always tell people " you know the phenomenon the of six degrees of separation.... well in Perth its .........just two degrees " ;).

My opinion of him (having admittedly not seen much of him) was just a general feeling of shitness. Watching him felt like watching the NBA in the 90's and it felt like every team had these big, slow, uncoordinated, white centres at the end of the bench who were literally just there because they were big. But you've pretty much given me all the ammunition I need for my next discussion.

Are you still involved/or do you follow the game at that level over there?
 
Anything but utter destruction of Essendon will do today. No excuses. Near full strength versus a team who has their best 12 out.

Zorko has been reported ... gone for sure. I doubt we need any breaks going our way against brissie, but I guess every little bit helps. He is important to them.

If so, anything less than thrashing Brisbane would be unacceptable. He's the most important player they have imo.

What is the deal with members and going to this game? Do we need to pay / order tickets online or just rock up with club membership? I looked on the club's fabulous website but cannot see anything.
 
Umpiring in the NAB so far has been as soft as ...
I wonder what will eventuate in our game against the scum thugs. I hope there is a barrel of boos at hand.
 
any one see jesse hogans new run up. Its 100x worse than kennedys stutter. he completely miss kicked it and the ball went 20m.

what are the gate staff like at subi? don't really want to fork out $20 a pop for nab challange tix. Is it easy to get away with entering with kids tix printed from home? I know when we used to go to the gabba we almost exclusively bought kids tix online and on the rare occaision staff checked our tix they never cared, only checked to see what section we should be in.
