It really was never in doubt. Only thing that could’ve got him was a late safety car.

50% win percentage at road courses now.

He's not a conventional rookie. Since he hasn't raced F1, WEC, or Indycar, and presuming Nascar is the highest level he's raced, then he's a rookie.

Nowhere near as dumb as Nigel Mansell was called a rookie in Indycar. The reigning F1 champion being called a rookie in a class that could be viewed as 'Formula 1.25".

Even as a kid, I knew that was stupid, and I couldn't believe the pretentiousness of American racing.
