Can't believe all the talk about that Sydney game and not one time has Nathan Bock been given a mention. What did he have.... 50 touches?

OK, I'm exaggerating a little, but honestly, the guy was AWESOME. He is gonna be very good, very soon.

Anybody else notice that he walks like a duck, kinda like Carey?

Hes not a favoured son of the herd.

It just goes to show we know pretty much sweet FA about certain players. I, along with many others, had written him off as a hack. He has been outstanding a couple of times this year. Good hands and quite skilful for a big guy.

I could not agree more, Bocky has been rock solid, particularly over the last couple of months. Week in week out he is overlooked in the best player list, but the fact that he and a few others are clearly under the radar may not be a bad thing in the weeks to come. Anyway horray for Bocky!

True and didnt drop his bundle when he missed out last week due to team imbalance and was very good on Saturday nite.

Welcome to the board by the way H&K. ;)

this topic goes under the bigfooty bias topic

there are some on the boards that enjoy writing off youngsters nice and early. I probably said a harsh word or two but then again I only saw him a few times in the SANFL before he decided to give revolt a lesson in football.

he seem to have a big engine and fairly mobile - like rhett biglands except with a football brain :D

And thanks! :)

I agree, he's got all the attributes. I like his attacking game. But I still feel a bit nervous when he has to line up on a top player.

Going back a couple of months it was odd how Craig was criticised so much for not taking a risk when Bock was first selected and slotted in at CHB on Reiwoldt. Rucci wrote an article on it too. I think it's possibly the biggest risk Craig has taken this season.

The payoff has been huge. It has given us the forward (McG) that we need to compete against the best teams. A season defining move from Craig.

Could be the start of a great thread. Name NCs best move this year? I was one who argued for not shifting KMac as my point at the time was 1. I thought he was carrying a leg/hip injury 2. While 5 out of 6 are working well you can afford to carry one.

But I was wrong, and I am glad to stand up and admit I was wrong. Talking to the Eagles supporters here I mention how Welsh was standing up as is Perrie because KMac allows them to play as 2nd and 3rd forwards. And if Welsh is held Kmac pops up.

As to Bock I was guided by those posts on here but I am pleased to see him slot in nicely.

You're not alone PC as myself along with many others on this board have over-indulged in heavy servings of "humble pie" not only in regards to Nathan Bock but also to Hayden Skipworth & lately "young" Doughty.

Now all i need is for Luke Jericho to come back into the side & play like a man possessed week in & week out & i'll have the fourtrella to gorge on.

Must add that i'll gladly make a gluten of myself if Jericho can follow the deeds of those mentioned above. :)
