I thought this might be the best place to ask as I've failed to find this anywhere.
I'm looking for Buckley's long kick season stats from 1993-2007.
Even better if there are competition long kick stats during those years, or better again all-time long kicking stats for a season and where any of Buckley's seasons fit on there would be of great interest.
If anyone who has a loose season of long kick stats here/there or can help me out on this one it would be much appreciated.
Overall it's a topic of interest to me because of the sheer number of long kicks Nathan had during his playing days. It felt like every play would go through Nathan through necessity, carrying the team like no one individual has ever had to, and it is remarkable in a lower disposal era relative compared to today that Buckley had all the touches he had, often even when tagged when he wasn't getting cheap ones and cheap receives. It was a lot of kicks where he'd go long and hit the target at an extremely high efficiency. And I recall reading in the papers during that time that Buckley was always leading or near the top throughout that period for long kicks.
I view this as the defining argument as to why Nathan was greater than Voss, Hird or anyone he played against. So any such stats in any who was greater debates would also no doubt come in handy for the casual or hardcore Pies fan.
