Interesting. Must have been updated a couple of hours ago as it still said 4 weeks when I commented before. They must have heard me say he should probably be indefinite.

Also, NOK with a broken arm?! That sucks.

Nathan Freeman is indefinite because we don't know when we think his (now perfectly healthy) hamstring will be ready for a match and when we think his actual conditioning will be ready for a match. Just because a player is not on an injury list does it mean they are ready to play competitive football.
I'm not one to lose my cool about an Internet forum but quite honestly the Nathan Freeman conspiracy theorists are really starting to give me the shits. HE WILL PLAY WHEN HES READY TO PLAY AND NOT A MINUTE BEFORE!

Exactly, the only cause for concern would be a placement on LTI. Then people can feel free to go nuts, but that hasn't and hopefully shouldn't happen.

He is a touch and go proposition who broke down nearly immediately then we had Brian speaking melt down to the point he might be on holidays for sometime. Even if he's not at the club he seems to have some insiders he knows. I don't think concern is conspiracy theories. Brian said he's scared to push himself do you know if that's right and do they have a psychologist helping him? He's a guy we all want playing doesn't mean we are in aluminium foil hats freaking out.

I don't care if its 2 weeks or 10, I just want our club to manage Freeman in a way that will let him get the most he can out of the career he's worked so hard for. Saints fan growing up, one of us, lets back him in and not put any additional pressure on him.

If it doesn't work out, a 2nd round pick isn't the end of the world. I'll be much more disappointed for him than I will be angry about the trade not working out.

Telling. Indefinite means they have no idea when he is getting on the park.

Starting to get a bit concerning

....Or maybe they read BF and just don't need anyone holding them to a weekly estimate, when it's not something that is going to be a definitive time frame.

Well MG should know the real name of Brian and if MG is an ITK he will know Brian has got the wrong information. I will go with MG on this from everything ive heard. I don't see any advantage of the club lying on this. If he hasn't played in 6 weeks people will realise they are lying so they will be found out anyway.

I know some people live too far away or work commitments prevent them but for those who can go to Seaford and have a look at training. Nathan is currently doing nearly all the work with the main group, plus extra conditioning. He's super committed and will leave no stone unturned in making it as a Saint. He is happy with where he's at as are the club. I don't want to jinx the kid but right now everything is tracking as it should be. Unless something untoward happens (fingers crossed) then he will play when the fitness staff believe that there is nothing more they can do to have him physically ready for the demands of VFL and then AFL football.
I understand that supporters are frustrated but he wouldn't have been playing now even if he hadn't of very slightly injured a hamstring before Christmas.
Nathan was always going to take the long road back, even as early as our first meeting with him we outlined an extensive rehab and conditioning program that ate into the start of the season. This fact was very appealing to Nathan because as he said later on he knew the club had his best interests in mind and would give him the best chance to be a ten plus year player.

I don't have any idea who knows who but MG seems very connected and I think he's acting a bit shitty when it's hardly like people are tearing down the club because we don't have a definitive time frame. You and Brian seem to know each other and have bought your battle on here. Brian may or may not have been connected but he still kept the place ticking over and revved some interest up in the trade period when we all go a bit nuts. He was harmless and you didn't really need to embarrass him into acting like a complete nutter. That said he was a complete dickhead posting your picture and needs a break for a while.

You'll hear no whinging from me. Taking the punt on a player of Nathan's talent is certainly worth measly pick 28-30 odd, especially considering our needs for dynamic mids. Take as long as they want, just get him right. I'm looking forward to seeing him get out there & do his thing but only when he's 110% ready. Whether that's next week, next month or next year, I really don't care. Leave no stone unturned, protect the investment until it's time

Dibt believe a word if it. If his hammy is 100% healthy and he has been un full training for two months surely he can have a run in the Sandy dev squad.

Or I believe it 100% and think the club is doing the right thing.
Already explained aliens stole his hamstring but don't worry the hollow earth mole people are gonna get it back just as soon as the lizard men get Clinton elected

Guys just remember, we got Freeman to add to our 2018 premiership side, not add to our 2016 13th placed finish or whatever. As much as I'd love to see him pulling on the jumper on Saturday night or at least at come stage this year, if the club thinks we're better served by making sure his hamstring is beyond bulletproof, then I'll back them in, we put everything into our club that we all love, let's add some faith to that and be patient as Freeman prepares to make the winning dash through the middle of the ground in the 2018 Grand Final.

Sounds marvellous
