That has been mentioned a bit in this thread but this story from a couple of years back suggests it may have been somewhat exaggerated:-

NATHAN Freeman has always been fast. As a junior he would be quicker than every other player on the ground, burst from packs, dash away and do it over and over again.

His dad David was a 100-metre hurdle schoolboy champion, and Nathan inherited the speed gene.

I think agenda is building the business. He plays the white knight to come to the rescue of his "customer" who is being bad-mouthed by Timmy.... btw it was nice to hear Timmy get worked up by something other than drugs at Essendon. I have been watching the footy on the weekend and he usually sounds completely bored with footy at the moment, as if he's holding out for retirement. Since the number of players leaving our club has been discussed a bit in this thread I thought I'd stick this here, hopefully someone finds it interesting enough. It shows the no. of players on 2015 lists who have ever been on another club's list, and the no. from each club "lost" to another club. D.N.P. refers to "lost" players (e.g. Ceglar & Podsiadly) who were at a club but did not play senior football.

I agree, we don't need to pot the kid based on innuendo. Life is short - esp for an AFL footy player. The last 2yrs must have been shocking. And Nathan will have a better chance to establish himself at St Kilda before his window closes. I can accept him wanting a new start.

It was the Mick Malthouse excuse that they preferred him over Buckley when the first lot left now it's Buckleys boys themselves that don't want to be there. Something is up.

What is up that we have high standards and those who can't keep up with it physically or mentally , is free to leave or stay in the VFL until a opportunity arises. If they are too high we will find out next year or so.
