How do you know for fact he has? Im not saying he hasn't but it has been said more than once he hasn't been happy.

Freeman has been in contract negotiations with Collingwood for several months. Over that time it was very clear his management was after more money.
His management played off the StKilda offer with Collingwood to see if they would move closer to StKilda's offer. Some of the recent contract negotiations have been played out in the media.

The greater opportunities he has stated most recently based on one player potentially entering the club but at the same time 3 players have been moved on who were also in a position to compete for the same place in the team as him. We would all rather he be more honest with the supporters.

We seem to be having a lot of issues recently regarding questionable character traits in players. Is it to do with recruiting and not picking up these traits or the environment at the club.

You should ask our resident expert on poor character traits Mick39. Apparently Freeman loves to smash down beers during recovery. Personally I don't see much wrong with that.

From my perspective yes. I don't understand why a player his age cant get his hamstring right especially given he has had no hamstring issues during his junior playing days. In my opinion he really is not in a position to be making such pay demands.


From StKilda's perspective when your team last challenged for a flag you ran out of Salary cap space to get players in that could fill the holes in the team. Now that a 0 gamer is getting 300k a season assuming he is still on your list in 3 years time what sort of coin do you think he would be worth/demand?
What sort of coin do you think other plays of similar ilk should demand?

We are having the same problem here at Big Footy at the moment -- posters with questionable character traits coming here and trolling, posting their made up shit. Do you think we need to do something to block these dickholes?

Wrong analogy. If you're going to use simplistic analogies then try work-cover, much more accurate. This is a workplace accident (in part) where the extent of employer liability is being questioned by the employee & their advocate.

I dont really care about the money as its not mine. But its obvious to get someone from another club you have to offer overs. If Freeman gets onto the park and plays to what people believe is his potential 300k will look very cheap in 2018.

Or players becoming campaigners once they're in the system. The profiling done by clubs can be a load of BS because the young blokes know how to answer in order to please.

Bucks has been very diplomatic about players since he became coach, he previously made a comment about getting off the bus and now this comment about Freeman, I for one think Bucks ain't sorry to see the back of Freeman especially if he was asking big $$$$
