Having said that i think a few injuries will keep me from using a trade on him.

Well he's exactly back to where he started at 305K and he has a break even of 0 and a 118 now in his system so he'll start to go up in price.

Only thing worse than getting Jones from the start and thats trading him before he played Carlton.

He belongs in the Daniel harris class of DTers.

I'm sorry but you dont get Nathan Jones from the start to make a measley $40,000. You get him hoping he averages 90 and perhaps towards the end of the season straight swapping him for a gun.

Yeah. But a shit pick is Daniel Kerr, Heath Scotland or Brett Ebert who are 70K+ in the negative. Jones has scored 89 and 118 in the past 2 games. If he averaged 90 from here on in then you still get the chance to straight swap him for a gun later in the season. Sure he wasn't the greatest steal but you could do a lot worse.

He is only 20, I think most of us picked him up expecting him to take the next step. He isn't really a DTer, but he doesn't really get a ton of the ball either (makes up for it with tackles). His career high is 25 disposals. He would averages high 80s if he takes that 'next step' and average 25+ touches. He will start getting tagged regularly soon though, that could hinder his development.

i dont admire him getting 118 as i traded him out for K.Cornes who did well with 33 posses and a BOG. N.jones how often is he gonna get 64 dt points in the 1st wtr kick 4 goals a game and get 6 tackles a game. I still feel he isnt a great pick still. K.Cornes can hopefully prove that i shouldve waited one more week.

Agree. Doesnt help playing for such a shit side. He's been tagged twice now (Ling for a half and Simpson). He'll be good to average 80-85. Nothing more. Similar to Daniel Harris of a few years ago IMO. He'll never average over 95.

Agreed although a very minor mistake. Majority of the good DTers also made the mistake. Kreuzer isnt a cash cow anyway (Unless you have 2 ruck emergencies playing). He's a backup ruck you're gonna keep for the majority of the year. Anyway, Hampson will be back soon.
