Does anyone know whats happening with him?

Ive been told some rumours by people who are very likely to know whats going on and apparently there is more to it than what is out in the media (not specifically related to the GC thing either)

I wasnt sure what to believe, but we have heard nothing about his "injury" and then after the game chocco was talking about motlop, hitchcock and davenport all being available for selection, but nothing about krak - if his injury was more than a one week thing, im suprised there wasnt more in the media about it when it happened

all this is giving more credence to the rumours I have been told by 2 people now. I hate rumours and am not here to spread them, but im keen to find out if anyone else has heard anything or has an update on his supposed injury?

Choco loves Krakouer. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as an automatic inclusion this week.

On the radio the next day Choco mentioned that Krakouer is available for selection. I would say it was more a case of the defense playing well enough so that it was 'out of sight, out of mind' with regards to Nathan - whereas the forward line would have benefited from a Hitchcock/Motlop/Davenport.

and this is what im waiting for - I thought the rumours cant be true and didnt think much of it, then when he was omitted for an injury i heard nothing about it made me think, and then when chocco says he expects motlop hitchcock and davenport to be available it made me think even more......

if he is not selected this week, it will add more fuel to the fire

If, and thats IF (i dont know what to believe) the rumours are true, then i wouldnt be suprised to see this "groin injury" turn into osteitis pubis to conveniently keep him out for a longer period of time should the situation not be resolved

good to hear - I hope that is the case. I do think he has a spot in our team - though he does need to work on his disposal, when choc said nothing it made me wonder....

the out of sight out of mind theory is definately plausible

Why rant on and on and on about rumours if you're not going to speculate? At least say you're speculating as opposed to stating it as fact if you wanna cover your arse.

Speculate or don't mention rumours at all, otherwise you sound like a writer for woman's day.

thats fine - i just didnt want to be the one putting out something negative about a player who I respect, especially if its not true....

but long story short - 2 people (one was first hand info the other second hand) have told me that he had a dispute with chocco, about what im not sure, could be GC17 but thats pure speculation as I wasnt told the reason) and the next day told choc that he didnt want to play for the club and wanted to leave. From there the decision had been made not to play him this week and both parties were going to meet early this week for further discussion

I was told this before he was dropped the other night - i told the first person who told me that there was no way he was right - and the next night when he was "injured" i couldnt help but wonder.

as mentioned above too, a groin injury can be a nice story too - can heal quick if the situation heals, and can turn into Osteitis Pubis should it drag on for longer....

3 nights later i have heard a very similar story from a mate also....

is it true? i have no clue, just passing on what i was told. personally I hope its not true

well if that's true I hope it was about being played in defense or something and not GC17. if krakouer really wants to play for this club but not in defense he could find himself down the rotations in the midfield a bit as we do have a lot of players looking for a spot in there. GC would probably be quite tempting for him if it was to come to that but I really hope we stick with him, he has a lot of potential in the midfield.

The only thing I heard negative about Krakour was a couple of years ago he was homesick, I doubt that the Gold Coast move would help that as the club and players have made him feel homely in Adelaide and he would have to start allover again. Maybe he could be of tradebait to a West Australian club come years end but I doubt he would be interested in the Gold Coast.

Krak has great skills. We do not want to lose him. Along with many I don't see his best position in the back lines. More as a playmaker, though he is perhaps lacking an aggression chromosome. I guess it might depend on his running ability where he finally winds up.

We seem to be losing our indigenous players if true aren't we.

Were these people in the club?

I just want to see him on a wing and HFF I do think he could work well there, but our team is coming together nicely

Peter's heart wasn't in football anymore, Shaun wanted a change of scenery and whatever happens with Krakouer is an isolated Krakouer issue.

If we lose Krakouer I don't want him tied to any other indigenous issues at Port Adelaide. I want it addressed as a skillful young player being played out of position.

I hope we keep him and I hope we play him where he should be played.

I know, I was just sticking to players who will be on our list next year.

I think you should say Motlop then as I think Wade and Marlon may be gone.

There is no chance that Marlon will be gone - he is viewed as a small lock-down defender - something we are in short supply of. Considering the emergence of the small forward makes him even more valuable.

Getting him onto the park is another matter.

There were some pre-season rumours coming out of Melbourne that Daniel might be on the move.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I just want to say that I don't actually want him. I may be watching a different game to everybody else, but to me he has not shown anything near the level required to play the position he is being played in or in fact any position at all. Sure he's had games where he's shown glimpses of what he can do, but so did Damon White. I cringe when he kicks out, I cringe at his decision making, to me he doesn't really look like he gives a shit most of the time and I don't think his skill level is anywhere near what many of you give him credit for. Whether or not this rumor is true, who knows, he does have form, but regardless it is his actual ability, aptitude and attitude that concerns me. Happy to be proven wrong, but having him in the team does not provide me with any confidence what so ever.

Never heard of him as lock down. I heard of him as a quarter back, with god vision and foot skills.

I see Daniel leaving before Marlon. Something about Daniel irks me this year. I don't believe he has the passion to play football anymore and his selfishness is something that doesn't flow with how we want to play or indeed how AFL is played. But I don't fully believe this yet as we've seen him play what, one NAB cup game? But to me Daniel looks a little.. unstable.

to me he doesn't really look like he gives a shit most of the time

It's just his natural facial expression. Some people look happy, others look angry, krak just 'looks' uninterested.

I think the talent is there and tbh I don't think he's necessarily bad in his current role although I would definately prefer to see him on a wing.
