I was talking about technique not intent.

If he throws himself into a pack with the total lack of technique like he did on Thursday night early in the match he will be lucky to play 5 games a year. He nearly broke his neck.

He reminds me of a puppy of one of the larger breeds of dogs. just barrelling in with legs and arms going everywhere. Either he or someone else is often going to get hurt if he keeps going at it like that. His fearlessness is great but agreed he needs to harness it a bit better

Fair description!

You can't teach intensity, you can teach technique.

I love how the kid goes about it, the puppy analogy is a good one. Fearless, reckless and enthusiastic.

Take that as a base and carefully shave off some rough edges and we have a solid player.

It really is! Did you somehow spot that yourself, or was it mentioned elsewhere? It's quite bizarre that the "clock is still running", as if he hadn't really left Geelong. Somebody, somewhere, has made a bit of a stuff-up with that!

Found it myself looking for video footage of Krueger playing for Geelong. Because the other night I noticed his run in for set shots looked awkward compared to footage I'd seen of him when he was playing for Geelong.

Nice work then! It will be interesting to see how long it lasts with the old link to his page on the Cats' site still up. I hope we've managed to cut e.g. Max Lynch off completely!

What did Buckley do to Grundy?
Have you seen Freddy got Fingered? Similar to that.

Grundy had a lot of agro ain his first year gave away plenty of 50m penalties and was really throwing his weight around. Buckley taught him discipline…which is usually good but we really lacked aggression in our play. The best teams play on the edge we were too passive.

Did you know 2022 Grundy is giving away more frees than any year since he started?

hmmmm, just a wild guess....but can you now do the same search on the other rucks going around?
seems like EVERYBODY is giving away more frees (and arms out 50's) than they ever have before

Plus its round 5. Umps are always trigger happy at the beginning of the year. How does it compare to the first 5 rounds in other years?

I think what you mean is Buckley turned him in to an All Australian.

He did, but if you look at the free kick and suspension tally’s over the last decade or so Hawks, Geelong and Tigers are at the top. Unsociable football delivers premierships

I think you mistake aggression for stupidity. Much prefer that Grundy has tempered the latter. Not sure that it actually equates to a drop in aggression.
