National Sporting Museum

I had a look at this on Saturday, wasn't that easy to find I walked straight past the entrance for a start! needs better signage!
I tried to enter from the wrong gate and had this rude old fool from the MCG have a real go at me! (I thought it was the people's ground, but after some of the customer service I really wonder if its not full of old rude pigs!!)

Thought the Museum was good, probally a bit disappointed that the AFL section is no where near as good as what AFL World was, but its great to have something rather than nothing. I liked looking at all the old AFL shows that used to be on, watching those two computer characters Spit & Chips bought back memories!

Have other people been? what are your thoughts? I think its worth a look.

This place is fantastic. I was at the opening a couple of weeks back buut must get back for a longer look.

The AFL section is great espically if you want a historical perspective - listening to live calls of the Grand finals from the 40's to the 00's was quite a buzz - nothing like the Captain and the Major.

The interactive stuff is really good.

just remember it is an all sport MUSEUM not just AFL.

Worth going, especially worth going to if you have overseas visitors.
One of the best tourism places in Melbourne.
