No thread for this game so I thought I'd start one.

Should be good this year and can't wait to see the inclusion on Jordan!
 
A thread on this is on the basketball board, but yes, it defintely is the number one Basketball franchise and has been for some time, shits all over NBA Live.

The Jordan inclusion with the 'Jordan challenge' is going to be simply incredible to play through, I for one can't wait!
 
I haven't heard of the "Jordan challenge", what exactly is it?

the inclusion of jordan is basically the best thing they could've added....they have most likely just weaseled a sale out of me the pricks! :o

Been playing 2K more lately, trying to create a dynasty kinda, picked up Jawai and Anderson from the Timberwolves and the Magic, obviously these guys aren't big, but will be worth it when trade them off again, playing as the Heat btw.
 
I still think the animations for Elite look average compared to 2k11's, but Elite will be a lot of fun if the system works well.

What are the features on Elite? Apart from a new name, what would make me wanna buy this over 2K?
 
Kudos to EA for realising that the NBA Live series was rubbish but they have a fair bit of catching up to do. I really enjoyed NBA 2k10 but I'm worried that 2k11 won't really add much.

I'm hardly a big basketball fan. Aside from obviously knowing who Michael Jordan is, I have no idea about the historical events those challenges are based on. I'm worried that most of the development has gone into a feature that I'm not really interested in.

well, I'm not sure how long it will take to get here, it says they are shipping on the 8th of October, but thehut.co.uk have it for pretty cheap with free delivery, about 55 aus dollars if I remember correctly.

Sorry I meant like free gift, eg. FIFA 11 getting a free copy of world cup or a soccer ball, any deals like that?
 
That Youtube NBA Elite Demo is so funny. Every time something bad happens the guy's reaction is hilarious and that no-look garnett layup is second best to the guy standing in the middle of the court.
 
For people who dont read basketball section. This game is out at EB now and Dick Smith said they will be getting it in later today, enjoy.
