This trailer was released today and although it is 2K11 footage it's still pretty awesome, the tag line at the end was 'The Greatest Will Be Back, With A Vengence' which is interesting, probably some other Jordan game mode though.

Would be happy if they got rid of the Jordan Mode and used that space to expand the other modes, particularly My Player. Jordan Mode was nice, but it's not something that needs to be in it every year.

is that on defence? so many times my opponent makes a cut and my player stands flat footed rotating around so i can then run to chase him.

Happy to see what they come up with this year and last years game is enough for me to buy the next one.

Love to see them improve the 'create-a-player/team/draft class'. I think they should put more detail into these modes. IMO there isn't enough variety or detail when you are creating someone.

All you need to know about the dedication of the "NBA 2K12" producers is their disgust for the way digital Dirk Nowitzki looked and played in "NBA 2K11" and how they've already fixed a lot of those problems in their new game.

From the first shot I saw during the demo, the difference is staggering as Dirk not only looked more like the Mavs superstar (and less like a polygonal Frankenstein), but the way he shot just looked so smooth, right down to the arc of his rainbow jumper, that I wanted to find any way I could to get my hands on the game and take some fadeaways for myself.

Unfortunately, the game is still a bit early for that, and the E3 demo I was given behind closed doors at the 2K Sports booth was all too brief given that the game already looks bad ass (right down to Jason Terry busting out "The Jet" down court after hitting a three).

Don't really care about the no Jordan challenges or if they are going to add Bird/Magic. Thought the idea of the Jordan challenges was good but actually doing them was stupid. You didn't 'relive' he's greatest games and apart from a couple of commentary lines and the proper teams, it was just like another game. You ended up just running around with Jordan trying to get 69 points or whatever. If they are going to add challenges I think they need to make a revolutionary game mode so that it's different to playing association mode.

I like the fact it is TNT and not 2K.


Need to add options in areas like:

MyPlayer mode - Options to skip/sim games without actually entering the game, Be able to choose more than 3 contracts at the end of the season and have going into Free Agency as an option.

Assoc. - I want the option to move a team, change the areana/uniform.


They are just some. What changes do you guys want to see?

- Being able to participate in All Star Weekend in My Player Mode and Association. Seems kinda pointless that you can only do the 3pt Shootout and Slam Dunk Contest when you want.

- Much better commentary. This year was a big improvement on other games but after playing it for quite sometime the commentary insight gets really old and repetitive. The 'in play' commentary is pretty terrible as well and they often miss big plays. A couple of times I've hit game winning buzzer beaters only for Clark Kellog to be going on about how 'LeBron is having an off night and if his team gets the win then he'll be fine'.

There's probably a lot more small things regarding gameplay and the general structure of the game, but for it to top 2K11 it has to be really polished.

Yeah I'm not sure. There are a lot of things different, and 2K12 haven't officially released any gameplay other than the Kobe thing so I wouldn't be surprised if it was fake.
