Is anyone else struggling with domination this year ?

I got through it last year only losing a handful of games, but this year is a totally different story. I am finding that there is way too much CPU cheese this year that has been coded into the game to increase the difficulty, from either you constantly somehow losing the ball when you're dribbling in traffic to the CPU seemingly being able to intercept passes at will yet on the flip side your AI team mates play like a D league team.

I am yet to see this realistic difficulty, to me it just feels like the game has just included some cheap exploits that are designed to work against you to make the game harder.

I think my game's broken. In my second MyCareer season the Eastern Conference Final is Philadelphia vs. New York.

3rd year into mygm and Philly makes the finals with this team:

When I played them they were the 28th best rated team. Bizarre. Although then again in my third season the Wolves and Lakers are second and third in the West...They were first and second until GSW went on a 16-game win streak.

Absolutely no idea. Russell (81)/Louis Williams (79)/Bryant (83 )/Randle (76)/Hibbert (76). Mozgov (77), West (75), Aminu (73) and Young (72) coming off the bench. Although they sucked in the back half of the season and ended up 7th in the west which is slightly more believable.

Seems like they made it hard to abuse to the post-fade in the new patch. Going to make historically domination a bit tougher once I get to the last few teams, especially since they all play so slow.

Yeah I go pick 30 sometimes
SG is looking awful but I think I'll still make the playoffs particularly as rose is playing like its 2011 again, however the bench is pretty rough
Also signed tristan thompson to a 3 year extension on about 7 mil a year

I pretty much ignore the training intensity ones these days since they vary so much depending on game load. Had D'Angelo Russell complain that he wasn't the no. 1 player on my Pelicans MyGM (with AD) and wasn't getting enough of the ball. Requested a trade, but I refused. AD went through three tough years injury wise (played ~70-80 games combined in three seasons) and Russell was happy again. The other ones that are annoying are the ones when you're playing with trade finder, and they come out worried that you're trading someone in for their position.

AD hasn't really reached any great heights in my game because of injury and his overall is 88 at 27yo (I sim a lot of games). Traded in DeAndre Jordan (take that Cuban!) has won the defensive player of the year 5 years in a row. Won the championship four years in a row with Russell, Oladipo, Jaylen Brown (2016 draft), AD and DeAndre.

Playing MyCareer, just had one of my best ever comebacks playing 2k.

I'm on the Hawks, back-up SG, 70 rated and get about 15-20 minutes a game. Usually don't play in the last Q but I guess since I was having a good game (19/2/4) the coach decided to sub me in with 5 minutes to go. Somehow we are down 10 points to the 76ers despite the fact we lead by 9 at 3QT.

With 1:18 Joel Embiid gets an and-1 to put them up 13 and fouling out Horford in the process meaning it's basically game over.

Next possession Hollis Thompson lets me go right by him for an easy lay-up, 114-103 with 1:10 to go.

Their #1 overall pick Daniel Childress takes the ball down the court, I take the ball from him and pass it off to Teague for the dunk. I steal it again on the next possession this time dunking it myself. 114-107 with 0:47 on the clock.

I go for a 3rd steal in a row but can't get it, leaving Thompson open for an easy lay-up. 116-107 with 0:38 to go.

We sprint down the court off the made basket, Teague hits me up for an open 3 on the wing and then Teague steals the inbound pass and then gives it to me under the basket I get fouled and then knock down both FTs - 116-112 with 0:26 to go.

We quickly foul Kendall Marshall who goes 1/2 at the line. We use our last timeout to advance the ball, it comes to me and I get doubled leaving Muscala open under the basket for an easy dunk. 117-114 with 0:17 to go.

Childress gets fouled and hits both FTs, Teague dribbles the ball up the court, I call for the ball on the wing and he passes it to me, one dribble to the left and I hit the 3. Now only down 119-117 with 0:08 remaining.

Childress is fouled again and makes the first. He's a 80% FT shooter so I'm not confident in him missing. Luckily he misses the 2nd and Muscala gets the rebound. I'm smashing X on my controller trying to get him to pass it to me but he decides not to, instead giving it to Teague. Thankfully Teague does pass it to me, I catch it inside the 3 pt line with 2.5 seconds to go so I have to sprint back out. I take the contested turn around 3 and it goes in and all my teammates and the crowd go wild. 120-120 with 0.4 remaining. They miss a heave from about 30 ft and it's going into OT.

In the final 1:10 I had: 15 points on 5/5 shooting, 3/3 from deep and 2/2 at the line, 2 assists and 2 steals. Finished with a career high 36 points.

For whatever reason I didn't get to play in OT (I guess since I'm not a starter) but luckily we won 150-151 in triple OT.

Entirely broken; keep getting glitches or goals failing for no reason; rosters not showing up properly; they've increased the trading difficulty (was needed) but made it unnecessarily frustrating in the process; and overall there's just too much to keep track of. Gorgui Dieng complaining about "only" getting 25 minutes; Zach LaVine complaining about getting 30; Towns cracking the sads every time I try to trade for a backup centre or play around with trade finder...horrific. Gone from my favourite game mode to my least favourite. Just gonna boost the trophies as quickly as possible and move on.

Maybe I'm just getting unlucky then. Shabazz has been an issue for me too; owner keeps asking for me to upgrade the SG position but then Muhammad bitches and moans about not being a starter. FWIW an example of the glitches I'm experiencing: started my second season and simmed a few games. After just three games Gorgui Dieng starts interrogating me as to why he hadn't been offered a contract extension, and his morale instantly drops below 50. I tell him I promise to get an extension done over the next week, and promptly go sort out his contract. Sign him to a two year deal as requested. A week later he tells me I broke my promise to sign him, so I go back to the contract extension screen, but he's already been given an extension. He then proceeds to complain about not being signed every single week for the rest of the season. I couldn't tell him I would because he'd tell me I broke a promise again and lose more morale, so I had to keep copping the morale hit and continuously prop him up with VC/free perks. To add insult to injury I had an owner goal to sign him to a new contract and not bring in anybody else at centre, so I couldn't trade him either. Extremely frustrating and I'm getting things like this a lot.

I did have those issues in my first mygm file but I started a new one and i don't seem to be having those issues as much. However still happens with training loads, I can change them and they say I haven't done anything. I give them a nice response their morale drops, I coddle them their morale drops, tough love...moral drops.. So I just ignore it all together. It's just impossible manage, prefer it without player training.
I have been asked to trade Shabazz as he is terrible for the locker room but I really like playing with him, I actually traded for him during season because I knew I like his release.

2x finals MVP. 1x MVP. 2x championships. 1x league points leader. 2x league assists leader. 1x league 3pm leader. Rated 90 overall. All of this by the time I hit my fourth season...yet I'm still not offered a max deal.

This game was quite good with patch 2. Patch 3 has stuffed it. I just went 1/14 from 3 online and I only ever shoot 3s if wide open.

It feels much improved since the last update. They still clearly nerf your 3 point shooting ability when your percentage gets too high but I'm making them more than I was before the update.
