So, the likely starting lineups will be

EAST:
C: Dwight Howard
PF: Kevin Garnett
SF: LeBron James
SG: Dwyane Wade
PG: Jason Kidd

WEST:
C: Yao Ming
PF: Tim Duncan
SF: Carmelo Anthony
SG: Kobe Bryant
PG: Steve Nash/Allen Iverson (Can't decide whether they will play AI at point or shooting guard)

The teams look very similar to those that we have seen in previous years, should be a great match.

How do you suppose the teams could be improved. Everyone deserves a spot in that team bar Tracy McGrady.

I dont think he was having a go at the teams more that the game is nothing and not all that exciting to watch on TV.

I find the 3 point shootout and skills challenge much better viewing.

DENVER – 9NEWS has confirmed that both Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson of the Denver Nuggets will be announced as starters in the NBA All-Star Game Thursday night.

The Nuggets have not had a player start the All-Star Game since Alex English did it in 1989. The year before was the last time the Nuggets had two starters, when English and Lafayette Lever both got the honor.

Starters for the game will be officially announced by the NBA Thursday night.

This will be the first time Anthony has started in the game and his second overall All-Star appearance. It is the eighth time Iverson will start and the ninth time he has appeared at the game.

Anthony had been second in fan voting for forwards in the Western conference, but Iverson moved ahead of Tracy McGrady with the Houston Rockets to get the starting spot.

The game is scheduled for Feb. 17.

Word going around though, that Stern and the NBA purposly rigged the votes so T-Mac can have his wish granted (of not wanting to participate in this year's All-Star game).

What a bloody joke the fans are -
Voting Iverson ahead of Chris Paul ...

What kind of moronic logic is that ???

Worst ALL STAR STARTER SNUB EVER (esp if u consider as well that AI isn't really a traditional PG)
