NBA Computer game players

does anyone have any gems out there that they have found and put in them their team?

Not superstars but guys with average stats but are cheap and seem to play really well?

For example last year on 2K7 I was trying to fix the horrible mess that isiah created (NY Knicks in Association mode)and traded for Jr smith he has a rating of 72 was heap as chips but was as quick as hell and could dunk and steal like a machine

this year on 2k8 jared jefrries is unstoppable, he is quick,a great finisher, 6-10 and can play any spot from 2-4.ive got him in my starting line-up at the 3 spot and he is a blocking machine because of his speed and height.

So anyone else got any cheap,mid-level stat guys they have found and want to share?.once again ive got the knicks and want to fix their cap-problems but it is damn hard trying to get rid of Marbury,Curry,and co

Travis Outlaw(Portland) has always been good for me, he is really versitile playing on smalls and talls at SF or PF and with great effect, he has blocking ability, stealing, shooting, but isn't really highly rated, I think with a good person behind him he can be that gem.

Also Delonte West always does well, great 3 point shooter, great stealer and can pass too.

Tyson Chandler has always been one of my favourites...7"1, quick etc...absolute beast defensively and on the boards. I trade for him in most games.

Rashard Lewis used to be awesome value, but he'd be fairly highly rated now.

I also like to sign cheap guys with really high Strgth rating who can just bulldoze people in the post...opens up the game really well for shooters etc...

I think it varies a bit from game to game though. Just look for guys that really stand out in a particular rating and suck at useless ratings like DAWR and DPOST etc...

i love green and bargs

green is like a mini tmac, and bargs is great, i usually penetrate with green and get a dunk, if he gets doubled by the center i pass to bargs for the easy mid range 2 point shot


and kapono is a machine, saved my ass a million times with his BS 3pts

Damon Jones... rating of about 68 (and rightly so) but with a 3pt rating of 92, is handy off the bench

Oh yeah, massively, dunking powerhouse, couldn't get him away from smashing it down the basket, very good defender/rebounder too.

Would have been a good player in real life too if not for his bad knees.

I am loving Kareem Rush at the moment in 2K8, I am playing with the Pacers and he is really good for a burst off the bench and to keep your team rolling along with the bench players in, he is really good in close and can also shoot the long ball.

Funniest thing is that in 2K7 I would sign him to the Pacers in my Association and do the same thing.
