In anticipation of the upcoming NBA Playoffs which are now locked and loaded I thought I'd get this thread going for those who will laying bets on the NBA playoffs.
At first glance we have (@ = higher seed/home-court advantage):
Orlando @ Detroit
I seen Detroit as a team who could make a shock early exit this year. However they have landed a great match-up in Orlando whom I consider the weakest playoff contender even though they came home on a tear.
These teams played on 11 April - Det 104-99
Detroit should be able to shut down the likes of Turkoglu and capitalise of Nelson's inexperience and turnovers. Howard is the only force in the paint and will need to have a lot of production on the offensive end however this is not realistic against the likes of McDyess, D.Davis, C.Webber & R.Wallace
Detroit win series... drop 1 game max.
Washington @ Cleveland
These two teams meet again, they have some great series in recent history however Arenas is out. Washington have won 3 of 11 this month. Cleveland have gone 6 of 9. Seems Cleveland have got REALLY lucky.
Cleveland win series... drop 1 game max.
New Jersey @ Toronto
NJ went 7 of 9 for month, including winning over Chicago who were aiming for #2 seed. However note four of these wins came against New York and Washington, another from Indiana. You'd have to suspect Toronto is locked and loaded for this battle, however I find them unconvincing in terms of the talent (unproven)... but they have put results on the board.
Toronto wins series... not sure how it will pan out.
Chicago @ Miami
Massive round 1 match-up. Not what you want really. You've got Shaq matched up with Ben Wallace again. Young talant vs wise experiences players. Miami recently lost to Charlotte twice, and arent convincing.
Ben Gordon, Deng, and Hinrich have all have scoring power and I think with Wallance neutrilising things with Shaq Chicago are primed to take this one.
Chicago wins series... drops only 1 game.
... ok this is taking too long, in short..
Dallas beat Golden State
Phoenix smash LA Lakers
San Antonio only just falls over Denver
Houston smash Utah
