NBA Reserve Grade?

I was just reading NBA Insider and it had an interview with David Stern and in it, he discussed the possibility of having a league below the NBA for the like's of the Darko's of the world who have been drafted but really aren't ready for the real stuff just yet. Does this idea have merit? I'd certainly like to see it myself.

I have always entertained the idea of a reserves league with an open mind, and I think it would be beneficial to the league. However that said, it would also increase the amount of teams who draft young kids and the amount of guys who skip college, knowing a team will take a chance on them.

I read that article/interview and it had a lot of merit. Cant remember half of it or any of the points in it but I remember when I was reading it I was constantly agreeing...

that would kill national leagues in different countrys eg Australia new zealand and parts of europe just to have more americans play the game. If the NBA are interested in developing basketball world wide then they need to keep this development league americans only ( no imports) Australia has lost something like 80 - 90 players this year to over seas national leagues.

so what the australian leagues n all of them are absolute **** anyway i say go ahead with it im all for it.
yeah i saw it being spoke of on sportcentre but they wer saying it was like the nba jnr teams or something not the reserve teams. i think it would be a good idea.
